Most real PvE Healers don't have 38k Max magicka

I see thanks this resolved most of it. I still think 38k is ridiculously to high though, but what I did care about was buff set for most part anyways so thanks.

Glad to hear that it resolved most of your worries. Ya, at worst this change will effect tanks since I know that some off tanks prefer to run earthgore, but at best it should affect nobody in PvE. Now the weapon/spell damage scaling though... that's going to cause a bit of pve dps power creep probably

I have 7 tanks, all of them have 40k+ health. My healers have above 38k max magicka. This isn't a hard requirement to achieve if you don't play as a fake tank/healer that many people have been complaining about over the years.

on my sorc healer i was 39k magicka, and cleared stone garden hardmode which in most cases requires a real healer to clear. when running the more difficult content, especially for proging harder fights the extra mag is very useful for when things turn messy. there’s many time on the last hm of stone garden where the healer constantly has to heal the tank when he’s dotted, with very little time to heavy attack.

i run full divines, mage mundus, spc+hollowfang+symphony, pickled fish bowl, on an argonian.

Not really dps reach that high not healers. Healers should of been based on magicka regain

    Not any more!
The changes made back in the patch after Elsweyr means that with all the HoTs and orbs synergised by everyone 1500 recovery is more than enough for even the hardest content (I've healed all the trial HM and never get over 1500 mag recovery. It's just not needed). 64 points in mag, all divines max mag glyphs and then tweak jewellery glyphs depending on sets worn. Only on khajiit do I not get well over 38k mag - I get 37k which is still plenty.

    "Proper healing sets"

Then what does it matter whether they reach 38K or not? What exactly is the argument or logic here?

I have never even seen a healer use a healing proc in any PvE content because healing itself is redundant.

If anyone were, they were both tanking and healing OR DPS with healing procs - testament to the strength of proc sets on live.

The healing from the proc sets sometimes help healers focos more on support or help newbie healers to learn how to heal. Tank healers also were some proc heal8ng sets for 3 DD RUns abd even some vet trials to help healers focus on suppirt or bring DD instead of healer.

My favorite healing set, telight remedy, was lacking in support and but had a nice heal, but already been nerfed once and it is nerfed again with this change. The heal it provided was compensation for the lack of resources attached to this set. Asking for 38k max resources is absurd, I barely reach 30k max magicka on my full support build. I usually wear symphony, spell power, twilight remedy/powerfull assualt.

I sometimes do PvP and even then, healing proc sets are somewhat weak in PvP excluding monsters sets. I compensate for my low healing with proc sets.

Most real pve healers don't use proc sets either. So what is the issue? Stack magicka on a "not real" healer and use proc sets.

If you really want to reach the cap it's as easy as slotting inner light on any class and potentially adding Mage Mundus. I was sitting at 42K+ when RO builds required that much, so I do not see a problem there.
But at the same time healing proc sets are far from optimal "proper" healing sets for your PVE group.

38k max magicka on an end game character should not be an issue as a healer. By making these stat requirements it now helps remove the fake healers/tanks from your end game dungeons. :)

That won't really solve anything because Fake Tanks and Fake Healers are just DDs queued as the other roles. They won't be using proc healing sets.
