I was in Shadowfen yesterday evening looking for Skyshard #15 (Black Maw) and got to witness a Game Master swing round his/her [Mighty Ban Hammer] and it was pretty awesome!!! I just got done with that one and messed around with the bots a few times using Infinity Chains to yank the end mob away from the bots (ended up with 3 Soul Stones and was hoping for a nice blue dagger or axe but I'm not complaining) standing there looking like stuck on stupid. (Unfortunately it was an open room so there wasn't anyplace to lure the bots into a place where they would become "stuck behind something".) Got bored sent a report in and it wasn't 3-5 minutes and the Game Master announced he/she was coming through with their [Mighty Ban Hammer] so I pulled up a /chair and waited for the fun to begin. He has been doing it for 2 days now...
Makes a thread complaining about the game and then ignores any evidence proving him wrong, flames anyone who disagrees with them and then threatens to report them.
He did this in a thread yesterday then had the nerve to tell everyone he felt bullied after acting like a bulldog to anyone who proved him wrong.1 -
KidKablam✭✭✭I've been called a "fanboy" or even worse a "fanboii" on these forums for making fun of the whiner posts, but I really do avoid posts that have two qualities: constructive criticism and originality. Either of the two would keep me from commenting and maybe even get an "agree" from me, even though I genuinely enjoy the game and have had few problems that I couldn't fix myself or that a GM didn't jump to fix.
It's obvious that the game isn't perfect at this juncture and probably could have used some more time in the oven. Further, I think the beta tests and the questions we received during the beta test "framed" the test in such a way that the staff were made to focus on problems they were already expecting at the cost of making them more vulnerable to the problems they weren't expecting at all and those are the sorts of unforeseen things that can be most disastrous to ignore.
That being said, let me tell you a little bit about myself: I work in the service industry so I know a lot about how unhappy customers treat the innocent servants that are in the crossfire when they can't get what they want. So when I get home from being the proverbial dog that gets kicked and I see posts where people take out their frustration on the staff it sets my teeth on edge.
No amount of barking at the poor people who are paid to read your crap is going to get what you want faster. You can either assume there are forces at work to fix the game (as I like to believe) or you can believe they're laughing and counting your money. I can assure you that anyone who reads these forums has nothing to do with it either way.
So be constructive or go home.

I'm not American or blaming you for anything. I personally enjoy the game. I guess the same can be said for you, I wish you'd spend more time making the game better, then creating these threads that serve zero purpose. When in doubt, blame yourself. Nobody else here to blame other then yourself for creating this thread that was only going to lead down one road. Take a look in the mirror, sit down and create a thread that will actually serve a purpose.

dobrt✭Just a thought here......if the best counter argument to those that point out this game is ill prepared to ask for subscriptions is: "all the other MMO's had/have these problems and Zenimax are constantly working on it....", well lets look at it this way......If these issues (Bots, spammers, etc.) have been in prior MMO's (stay with me here)...and this title is an MMO....(it's coming)....then why didn't someone from Zenimax research the problems, arrive at solutions, and implement them prior (OMG! that makes sense) to the release......
On a positive note though.....I'll agree that there is an effort by Zenimax to combat the multitude of bugs, bots, spammers, trolls, and glitches.......unfortunately the efforts appear to be similar to that of bailing out a flooded ship with a shot glass......(for those born during and after the Nintendo generation).....similar to only being allowed to play your game 2 minutes per day.0 -
