As far as PVE goes, stronger with more passive resource and healing allowing more focus on dps, the less mitigation is mostly negated with passive healing except for maybe large burst damage from bosses.

The Craft CP tree has too many Stars that should be Passive but are currently Slot-able. Master-Gatherer, Treasure Hunter (which is bugged atm), Meticulous Disassembly, and Plentiful Harvest.

As a player with multiple characters, classes and roles (16 characters, 4 Tanks, 2 healers, 3 stam dd’s the rest are magicka DD’s), blocking takes way more resources for my tanks, dps is down across the board (we knew this was coming) but it feels even weaker than what was projected. Also spell/physical resistances are way lower. Especially for DD’s. Spec for increase spell resist for a Stam character and it doesn’t seem to reflect in the stats.

I also believe there is a penetration bug as well as some other issues like, stamina randomly dropping to zero for no reason at all. Or getting knocked down as a tank from attacks that prior to cp change could be blocked.

Overall, yeah, it feels weaker.

I'm newbie to ESO. I reached level 50 recently only. The previous CP system looked so complicated to me that I had postponed working on it to a later step. Then the new system was implemented. The noise about it draws my attention and motivated me to give it a look.
Wow! Nice! At first sight, I knew what I had to do. It was self-explaining to me. Thanks to that intuitive interface, I started using the CP points.

So, as I'm new to the game, I can't judge the impact in comparison to the old one. But if I compare at the level of the first approach to it as a newbie: I very much prefer this new one. Just one interface. Easy communication system with one node unlocking adjacent ones. Simple reading of the text to understand what one node gives. For me, it's just a win.

My damage output is the same, but my survivability isn't. Feels like I am taking a lot more damage now, despite all defensive passives.

Waiting for mondays PTS in "excitement".. to see how much as strong we are then if they gonna nerf some of the cp passives even more. Hmm..

60k dps before the patch. 70k now, without changing my rotation or anything. Plus i have more health and sustain. Plus I have more mitigation.

A bit weaker, compared to parse of previous patch, but damage was through the roof anyway, so I don't mind that regard. Mitigation is also less, and in unorganized groups, this is a detriment for harder content, because compounded with less damage, you need to adjust how to do things. Also, this patch stam has issues reaching pen, it will be doubly worse next patch, I don't know what ZOS is thinking.

Speaking considering all major changes, not just CP2.0, and mostly a DD perspective:

As a mag DD I feel a bit stronger in actual content. Sustain is ok while using pFG and bi-stat food. Even though trial dummy dps is lower, my dps on bosses seems to be unchanged, for example still can do 100k+ dps on vHoF first boss. (thanks to stuff like Encratis monster set and armor passive changes). Glad that 7 light (or 7 medium for you brave stam folks) is the meta for dps now because it helps with sustain as well. Buff food lasts longer too. Overall no complaints in terms of dps output and sustain.

I am faster when not in combat, I take less fall damage which is awesome. "Slippery" CP star is super useful for me because my character doesn't usually show any animations for getting stunned (thanks to server desync and 200 ping) so automatic break free without any cost is just amazing to me.

Survivability is tougher though not a big deal in PvE (still vHoF hm last boss execute feels very sweaty). Have to dodge some boss heavies as I can no longer survive by blocking them. I feel like I'm made of wet paper in no CP PvP tho, can still manage but holy hell. Templar jabs and nightblades in general hit so hard in no CP PvP it makes me wonder my place in the universe. Light armor penalties are pretty annoying in pvp.

My mastercrafter is just a sad little man now, green CP tree is just horrible. Waay too much micromanaging in between simple mundane tasks. Completely unnecessary nonsense for a high CP master crafter character.

I've not taken all my characters for a test drive yet, but I'm loving my templar healer again. She used to run out or resources all the time, and now I'm having a much easier time.
