Master Architect and War Machine works using the total Ultimate you spent, not actual cost of ultimate ability.
So you get 30 seconds of Major Slayer if you spent 300 ultimate, even if the ability itself cost way less than that.

this right here points out a problem with ultimates...whether it cost 70 or 300 it wipes your whole ultimate number. You should only be using the cost of the ultimate otherwise what reason is there to letting your ultimate reach 500 aside from a set like this?

That's too OP bc you can chain cast ultis. For example, save ulti to 500 then use ultis one after another. That'd break the game completely bc nothing would be a challenge as everything would die in a few seconds or less, tanks would be basically immortal, and healers would become pointless.

yeah....for perfect team we have already dk with zen for support, necro with catalyst for support, both tanks and both healer already have their sets so we have left 6 dd's with full dps sets for them - now we would need to ahve sacriface 2 or maybe 3 of them to get 100% uptime of master architect for who? for left 3-4 dd's with their ofwn setups for max dps?
because of single dd master architect is dps loss while giving boost to team, with close to 100% uptime from this set from additional 2nd dd or even 3rd dd I bet it would make master architect weared to be left at 0 point - no dps loss from wearing this set but also not so much of dps boost in overall so staying at level like he would have his own selfish dps setup
so what is at the end? at best only 4dd - so half - have trully boosted dps from their own while rest of the team have dps lets say like they didn't had any boosts because they already sacrifaced their dps number to boost group...so if they are getting additional boost from other in groups they will be left at point 0 of their...boost from team covered their loss so their dps is neutral while only 4 dds have boosted dps instead 6 dds without master architect
ahhh wait...I just rembered master architect is boosting only 5 group members....so to get its uptime worth of use we should have atleast 3-4 dds to use it and so leaving 3-2 dds with their wond full dps gear lol
and dont forget also players wont be every time perfectly placed and buff for 5 players from this set wont always get at dd's only, sometime it might catch healer or tank
so yeah...very op set, very op, 1 player can use it, will have dps loss for this and he will buff for some time 5 dds out of 7 with for sure under 50% uptime, with 2 dd's with this set we might get decent uptime for 5 dds if it will het always dds which wont be possible in most cases for most player but so leaving these 2 dds with their own dps loss and still have 2 dds without buff

I should have specified that the build I have in mind is SPECIFICALLY for 4 people groups (Arenas and dungeons) so MA on a DPS/Healer hybrid sounds pretty good!
The 5th piece bonus states:
"When you use an Ultimate ability while in combat, you and the closest 5 group members within 28 meters of you gain Major Slayer for 1 second per 10 Ultimate spent, increasing your damage done to Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 10%."
With "Ultimate spent" does it refer to the cost of the ultimate, or the total value of your ultimate pool at the time of casting your ultimate? For example, if I cast an ultimate that costs 70 but while I had 300 in my ulti pool, do I get Major Slayer for 7 seconds or for 30 seconds?

hmm it could be good...it is good anyway also in trials :P but it is not op anyway as you would need to have it still on altlest 2 people in group of 4 to have decent uptime of this set to be able to say it is op :P
