I actually think it‘s the other way around: since Sorcerer have several passives increasing their base and/or spell damage they scale very well with critical chance. Having good base values means inherently stronger critical strikes.@MoreTune Sorrow + Medusa is ok, but since sorcs don't get any passive crit damage they don't get rewarded as much as other classes for stacking pure crit.
Is there any difference between normal or veteran difficulty to get Jewelry and/or Staffs? I think some people stated that veteran difficulty is better for Jewelry.IIRC weapons and jewlry only drop from last boss and are the only things you want from medusa set, so it makes total sense that you got most things you wanted from chests. Theres 4 chest and only last boss to drop things you want.

Depends on the content. perf siroria, sorrow / acuity and zaan are BiS for the dummy.
As for content there is no easy answer.
I've been running siroria in a lot of content recently, even if you lose stacks a few times, they rebuild quickly and it's surprisingly easy to maintain better than BSW uptimes.
The more content I do, the more I like this update.

In my experience from farming weapons for group members, there is no drop chance difference between vet and normal. Vet gives purple stuff (not that it matters) and on the average better traits. So, if you don't want to transmute ...
Usually, in farming we run normals for sake of speed, and the typical drop location is an easy chest ...
Which Monster Set would you wear With MS+Medusa.
2pc crit or just zaan?
I was thinking about a MonsterSet Which increases spell dmg to push your Main dmg.
And ms+medusa -> Khajiit or high elf?
And i want to try wearing molag kena With ms+medusa With my sorc. But dont Know if i can sustain it.

That said in spite of the heavy attacks I hit within 1-2K of a more traditional build using MS/Siroria. I’m feel like if I could sustain the Medusa I would go much higher but I just can’t do it on any class.
Had planned to farm Medusa to run along side Mother’s Sorrow but 40 runs of Arx Coronium later and I’m yet to see an inferno staff.
Have most other items in this set (including 1 dagger and resto staff) - this is with 50 in treasure Hunter and searching every chest and heavy sack.

I run high elf. Khajiit is probably superior. Just by a bit.
Zaan > Maw. Even as a pet sorc, zaan is higher dps. The range is pretty good you don’t necessarily have to be 100% face to face melee range.
I always keep Maw in my inventory just in case there are fights where you can’t get into melee range. But 99% of the time I use Zaan
Really struggling on trial dummy with ms & medusa; sustain! My magblade peaks at 60k and has similar gear & quality of rotations as my stamdk while she gets 70k+. That said actual gameplay I think they are on par.

Sustain is harder on dummies now because you don't have the magicka recovery bonus from the old CP system. But it's easier in actual content now compared to before, because you can use sustain food since they buffed health.

Nothing personal, but hard to trust parses south of 80k. Too many mistakes are happening in that rotation for a good comparison.
I will also point out that even with a fair amount of movement, siroria is still typically your strongest option. I think most players pay too much attention to the stacks at their own detriment. Move when you have to, otherwise standstill. That is good advice for any setup.
Agreed. I haven’t seen any parses for MS/Medusa at the 100k Mark. Not that it can’t reach, just no one posted any videos of it.
Side note, I’ve been running MS/Siroria with thief versus MS/Medusa with shadow (I got a Medusa staff recently) and I noticed my dps is the same on target dummy without any sustain issues. Getting 75-80k but I’m low CP. I use parse food all the time now. I’m at over 20k HP.
Guess it’s just preference ? I prefer MS/Medusa in 4 man content because I can feel free to move without worry and I DONT need to slot trap or channeled acc.
Raids, I prob will switch Siroria for stack and burn boss fights.
But again, wish i could see a someone who parses 100k+ to test MS/Medusa sets and see

There are situations where you’ll be stationary enough to use Siroria, but not melee (mainly vKA and vMoL), so Siroria Inferno Staff still has a place in the meta.
Medusa + Sorrow is for high movement fights like vAS or vCR, and even within those it’s situational.Oreyn_Bearclaw wrote: »I would really like to see some parsing done with Medusa/MS by someone that is in the 100k range with a meta setup to see the difference.

I would be very surprised to see anyone hit 100k in MS/Medusa. That would be the equivalent to 105-106k with Siroria, and the highest I’ve seen for any Magicka build is 104k.
