    No thanks.

All the zones are horrible terrain to navigate. Big trees, ledges, stranglers, too many NPCs that's snare.

Green shade is like half ok. Grahtwood and malabol for are horrendous though.

Not super excited about more lizard bogs that we have coming up either though tbf.

Because the Bosmer are gross little cannibals scurrying around protecting potatoes (they really are, they say it in a quest in Grahtwood). I never want any more of them.

I beg to differ. Their mish-mash of (so-called) West Country & Cockney accents are appalling. I hate doing quests in Bosmer land.

(The Reach has the best accents for an area. And Tharn is the best voice actor (The great Alfred Molina)).

Why do I have the feeling that this discussion is drifting more and more in the direction of why people don't like Bosmer ... Folks, this is exactly about the opposite - we want more Bosmer content. Just for information. ;)

I mean, their entire homeland is already in the game, right ? Same for Altmers & Khajiits. In that terms, race that is lacking the most when it comes to zones & land are probably Argonians.
Not true the center of Elswyer is missing on the map so they do have a future even if its only a dlc.
As for the Bosmer the only problem i have with them is the characters zeni have created espically this new one, she is far far to cheerful, yes bosmer are known as friendly but she is just far to cheerful like a badly written rp character.

There are ten playable races. Each will have roughly 10% of the player base saying that any particular one is their favorite.

Bosmers have not received any content for a while now. There are a few races that fall into that territory. Those races should have their day in the sun again.

There is nothing sophisticated or noteworthy about them.

They aren't clever, they aren't interesting. They had their limelight in base game and that's all I care to see. Done to death.

You aren't clever, interesting or noteworthy, sallad-muncher!

A dislike which is often based on shallow reasons. It's like they think bosmer commit canibalism every supper.

Yes, it is again some sort of cliché that results from a lack of understanding.
From a spiritual or magical point of view, consuming a defeated enemy or a family member can make so much sense. To absorb one's strength in oneself, to make him harmless, or to preserve one's memory and qualities. In the case of the Argonians, nobody finds it worth mentioning when a deceased member of the group is transformed into a nice leather helmet or a sword scabbard. From our worldview that is strange too.

Ya but quite alot do so stop trying to justify why WE SHOULDENT GET CONTENT WE WANT.

[snip] You don't have to like anything for other people to be valid in what they desire from the game. This post isn't for you obviously.

What the green pact really does is creates a more peaceful race. Less inclined to kill people then to work things out. Or steal from them. That's why the right of theft became a thing.

    Someone pisses you off.

Well if you kill them then that's dinner.
But if you apply other methods for revenge you don't have to resort to cannibalism.

The bosmer don't start wars. They generally are very amicable to trade and other race relations.

If you dont hurt the plants your actually very safe from the bosmer. Its the rest of the green you need to worry about.

that's because the base game pretty much covered all bosmer bases...whole zones full of them and their quests including key aspects from lore like yffre, the green lady, silvenar, wilderking, etc. Also lets not glaze over the fact that 1 of the top trading spots is at 1 of their big fancy trees. This game isnt lacking in bosmer, this is just a case of 'I want more of the thing I like' :p

The problem isn't area, though, it's what comes with that area.

Look at it this way, Bosmer have 3 zones in the base game. However, across those zones, there's only one Bosmer motif and one style of Bosmeri architecture and furnishing.

The Argonians (since they have been brought up previously), on the other hand, had one base game zone which had one Argonian motif and one style of Argonian architecture and furnishing. Since then, we've gotten Murkmire, which added at least 2 motifs and a different style of Argonian architecture and new furnishings. Blackwood won't be mostly Argonian, but there will be some, and through that we'll get at least one new motif. Then, there will still be more land for another Black Marsh zone, which will undoubtedly come with more motifs and furnishing styles.

The problem isn't just that there won't be a new Bosmer zone, but that all the stuff that comes with that—Lore Books, motifs, costumes, furnishings, architecture, new characters, quests, etc.—is what the Bosmer will be missing out on that the other races who weren't covered entirely (land-wise) in the Base Game won't miss out on.

Exactly, and then there is the fact that generally all these things (architecture, equipment and especially furniture) in the starting areas were designed in a much less elaborate way if you compare it with all the stuff which is added with the latest chapters. And only Bosmer should keep this primitive standard forever, that's absolutely not fair.

Personally I would like to see future chapters focusing on overhauling existing zones, and I think they should start with Valenwood. The zones just feels totally outdated, to the point that sometimes it feels like you're playing Skyrim, but half the cities are made with Oblivion level graphics.

    Greetings,

We have closed this topic as it was originally created in March 2021. In many cases, it's better to create a new thread on a topic that you want to discuss as opposed to bumping one that is rather old.

    Thank you for your understanding.
