If you tweak CP once per character, that's 54K. Do it three times each, and that's 162K.
And actually, every damage or healing skill is going to have its effectiveness changed.
If ZoS doesn't give free respecs, they're putting incredible pressure on themselves to get everything right on the first download, and in particular to do a much clearer job of writing tooltips than they ever have before.
Personally I think this kind of thing should be scaled on time. Everyone gets a free respec a week, second respec in a week costs half of current cost, and then third and subsequent respecs cost what they do now. Maybe a month instead of a week is more balanced, but something along those lines.May come as a surprise to some of you but some players can't spend 40h a week playing a video game.
Respec cost gold sink for attributes, cp, & skills should be removed permanently considering the pin-the-tail on the donkey balancing.

It still keeps the balance and gold sink rationale for not making everything free respecs anytime, but allows those who are respecing only occasionally to not be cost constrained, since those fixed gold costs can range anywhere from burdensome to negligible for different players.

At this point I'm starting to think all these wide swings have less to do with performance/combat balance, & more to do with players pulling out their credit cards to sell crowns for gold to keep up.

Yeah becase 3k gold is going to kill everyone
PeacefulAnarchy wrote: »When the PTS first went live there was 1 week of free respecs for CP. I don't recall if it also applied to skills. My understanding is that there will be a week of free respecs at least for CP when it goes live. I'm pretty sure there was explicit confirmation from the devs besides it being in that first PTS build but I'm not certain.

Small correction, one toon.
3200g for attributes-adjusted health stam/mag if needed (PvP)
5-10k plus skill reset
3k CP
and of course any set replacements/quality updates to stay competitive.
I think removing CP cost for a few weeks would be a good gesture on ZOS part.
edit: & racial "balance" swings $25 or 300,000g

Could be but in my opinion the racial changes it is a worst.
We should get racial tokens.
All of your skills and passives and CP will be reset when the patch launches anyway.
