Not once during those "pve" events can another player actively stop you from achieving your goal.
seriously, seen a lot of people on here demanding that MYM and cyrodill/imp city catered to them as pve players and hpw they think it's unfair that it's a pvp event.
we only get a at most, 2 pvp events. if you dont like the fact it's pvp, then play it. [snip]

You are completely missing the point here and start talking about something else.
This is a PvP event, yet the forums are full again of PvE players complaining about a PvP event while they still have the other 95% of the game. You can play that.
Yet they put rewards on it that pvers will want to try to get them to compete in it and we both know that most people in the event are pvers since that's the majority of the playerbase and where the game is mostly focused. Okay by this standard pvpers should not be able to play pve events or enter pve zones since so many keep telling pvers to get out of pvp zones.
I am not telling PvE'ers to get out of PvP zones. I'm also not hunting PvE'ers in PvP zones. We just ask to stop all those useless complaints that people are unable to get the tickets while this is not true at all. Many examples of how to do the event without engaging in PvP in just a couple of minutes have been given on the forums, most of these examples by PvP players...
Also I don't think the majority of the playerbase is just PvE only. At least 95% of all the good PvP players I know also play endgame PvE and vice versa. These players who complain that a random normal dungeon is too hard because PvE is boring are as annoying as the players who complain they can't complete a 2 minute Cyrodiil quest.

Its almost as if Zos wants people that usually dont go into PvP to go into PvP during this event. Like they do during the undaunted event when they place rewards in dungeons.
The majority in this game are rpers and questers that dont even know how combat in this game works, by your logic we´d have to eliminate all combat except for light attack spamming so that they could have their skyrim combat experience and they wouldnt have trouble anymore to keep up with the evil elitist trial goers. Also no more dungeons, trials or arenas only overland quests and each world boss needs to be soloable by a lvl 10 character without gear.

And yet most of them tend to hate pvp even more and then you get pvpers who purposely try to make it as horrible as possible for them hell last years one there was a bunch on the forums going who they'd kill all the pvers till they leave. Also pvers have plenty of experience with combat. Most pvpers don't despite the elitist attitude many give most of it is down to their gearing and even in pve healer gear I've killed my share of them during these events then get hate whispers cause it seems they have very fragile egos. So which side doesn't know how to play hmm?

In Undaunted event you could either solo fg1 or if you wanted more (without touching group content), you could do Undaunted delve quest.
In IC celebration event, you could either do PvE dungeons or IC dailies / PvP.
It seems that the problem with MYM is that you do not have much choice, as to get 1 event tickets - you have to do IC dailies / PvP.
^ That seems to be the main issue. No one seems to complain much about Cyro event tickets. IC is simply put "toxic" (at least for majority of playerbase). Mixed PvE & PvP in a small, confined area.
I am pretty sure that it would by healthier if you could get that 1 event ticket more by doing another Cyro quest.
The thing that bothers me is... that we have MYM... at the start of the year ? Not that it is bad, but is it not just weird ? It almost seems as it is kinda forced. Almost as if ZOS tried to populate "dead zone" that is IC. I would not be surprised if we get yet another MYM in an actual "middle" of the year, and later on IC anniversary event... That would only confirm that...

Yes the endgame PvE players have plenty of experience with combat, those that do vet pve mostly do too. However they too are a minority compared to all the casual players that only quest/do normal content who cant even clear a vet dungeon without getting carried. The gap between the majority of players and the endgame pve/pvp community is so big that Zos has tried for years to bring down the ceiling and nerf the endgame players. Note how I said questers and rpers in my post that you actually quoted not pveers.
I´d say the side that demands they be excempt from combat doesnt know how to do combat rather than the one that seems to be beating up the other side so badly that they make them go cry to the devs in the forum but thats just me

It's less about combat quite frankly most pvpers I've come across aren't that skilled either but builds and gearing differ for pvp to pve. And the fact that some pvpers try to make these events as hard for pvers as they can and pick on pvers just shows toxic behavior and before you say they're not I've seen it happen every event and last year the forum was filled with pvpers bragging about doing so. And then these same pvpers in my experience if they lose to a pver they'll get pissy and send hate whispers of which I've gotten many because their egos can't handle it. Then they come back with a group of friends to try to pick individual players because they can't stand losing to pvers. And quite frankly if people have to purposely make an event as unpleasant for others as they can that really says something.
