people seem to be jumping to conclusions. it is very possible that they eliminated the bonuses associated with requiring 5 + pieces. If that is the case then we can now truly mix and match armor types which is a huge positive.

I agree to some of what you say but feel heavy is only tanky not just tank only gear.

Agreed, bad phrasing. I didnt mean to say that only the tank role should be using heavy.

I would love the option to put heavy on my magsorc using War Maiden and Innate Axiom, it would really add another dimension to the balance of enchants/mundus/set choice.

That would be great to me though they need to scarp armor skills and redo them completely not just add this new line to make them feel different. And would need to do a video to explain why cause I really do not want to type it all out here.

Heavy and light have nerfs and buffs. Medium is only buffed. I'm expecting the "nerf" for medium is that the buffs aren't as good as heavy and light buffs.
Now let's dig on the Dirt Mound... (never gonna get it, never gonna get it, NEEEEver gonna get it, never gonna it)

Didn't look that way in the stream. The known passives were still there.

Heavy armour taking more damage from magicka gives me serious Fire Emblem vibes.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

As I recall, that's exactly correct.

True the names remained - but they only hovered over a select few which scaled based on number of pieces with no minimum or maximum. Possible that this was applied across the board. Possible that it didn't as well - we'll find out regardless.

Primary point though is that its waaay pre-mature to be declaring a meta armor type prior to the notes even dropping.

All it seems like to right now to me is that you wouldn't want to mix heavy and light, but both mix with medium.

Yall are talking about wearing a mix of armour weights but how many 5 piece sets come in a mixture of weights to allow this mix n matching in order to benefit from different bonuses?

Very concerned about tanking vet hm trials where I'll take more magicka damage wearing my (usually heavy) tank sets.

Light armor penetration is buffed up to 6500 and spell warding was doubled. Meanwhile Medium's weapon damage is going from 15% with 5 pieces down to 14% with 7 pieces and weapon critical is going down from 10.5% to 7%.
Medium is getting nerfs as well.

They could have increase damage from physical and magic attacks by .5% per piece, seems fair to me.
