The fact that only 109 players have chosen to vote for either significant revision is the part that is very telling. It demonstrates just how small this issue really is that so few players are willing to vote for either extreme option.

The forums are a very small percentage of the playerbase. There may be many many more who oppose but don't participate in the forums. And how is a toggle an extreme option? Maybe they should remove the toggle for duels then, because isn't that just as extreme?
The few people who oppose the toggle are most likely the ones doing the mudslinging.
However, it seems my comment quoted above has been conveniently edited out is how the poll ignores every possible option outside of a radical change to the momento. Such a biased poll pretty much makes the information invalid by any survey standards.

I only quote the specific portion of a post that I am responding to, for clarity.
It doesn't really matter if there was no option in this poll for leave it alone, because posters like yourself can still give their opinion.
It also doesn't really matter if some posters don't think stopping harassment is a valid reason for such a "radical" change to a memento. The toggle wouldn't stop anyone from using the mudball, and the mudslinger wouldn't even know that you blocked it.
A toggle would go a long way to stopping conflict among the playerbase, and eliminate a lot of reports for ZoS to have to investigate. How is this a bad thing?
The very fact that 110 people have selected one of the two choices yet 110 separate players have not commented in favor of change makes this perfectly clear.

Why do you toss a couple of balls instead of just one? If they don't respond back after one they aren't interested. Why toss a second?

The vote says it all for many who replied. They probably don't feel the need to add commentary. That doesn't make their vote any less valid.

Actually if you care about the legitimacy of this poll, you yourself should make another one. ZOS isn't stupid, if any of them actually deigned to take a look at polls on the forums in an effort to establish an idea of what the playerbase wants, they would take one look at a poll that had 2 options, both of which essentially are a yes with no other options to choose from, and probably give an eye roll at most. Now, I understand from your post immediately following the initial one that you for whatever reason got cut off from adding that 3rd option, and apparently editing of your own polls/posts doesn't allow you to actually add options, so I can understand why the poll is the way it is, but honestly at that point you should've scrapped it and started it new. The most attention this will get is mods checking for violations of the rules and removal of posts, but no person in a place to make suggestions or institute changes is going to painstakingly read through the now 8 pages of it to get an accurate idea of how people feel about it. If you actually care about this and are trying to get some wheels turning to get a desired result, I suggest going back and starting it fresh, with enough options that ppl against the change can do so with a button click and not a post of their own.

There are a limited number of stressors that one is allowed to have?

@sevomd69
Nothing in their comment suggests that we are allowed a limited number of stressors. They merely noted the insignificance of mudballs vs pretty much everything else.
