During the period of 30 October to the 6th of November 2013 Punkbuster was falsely banning Battlefield 4 users with the error "(Gamehack #89265)" As of November 8, 2013 the issue has been resolved by Evenbalance inc. and all Punkbuster bans resulting from this error have been resolved and officially deemed a false-positive.
"We have confirmed that Violation #89265 may be triggered by non-cheat software. This Violation code has been removed from our master servers and we encourage server admins to give the benefit of the doubt to players who raised this code over the past few days."[6]

Zenimax knows about these bots and the damages they have done, give them time to resolve this issue.
Thanks
Might be problematic if several people share a computer and play this game, which would lead to people complaining that they are effectively banned because their brother/sister/housemate was an idiot but they did nothing.felixgamingx1 wrote: »Is their IP spuffed or something!? Shouldn't the ban be by machine MAC address!? Can we get some Punkbuster here!?
IP Address are frequently dynamic these days, meaning they change every so often. Mine changes everytime I shut down my router (only solution to local technical issues), which means if they banned IP Address eventually I would inherit a banned one despite not doing anything. (other people too, not just me)felixgamingx1 wrote: »MAC address and IP ban will keep a percentage of them out

To be fair, few other than botters (and people who used ISPs that only allowed one MAC address to connect) would ever need to know that! You know that you can spoof a MAC address too right?

They care about their product, enough said.
Please learn how the internet works before making comments like this. Please also learn how RMT organisations like GOLDAH, IGE, etc. operate then you'll realise how calls to block China are absurd.felixgamingx1 wrote: »Also there's one country that should be completely banned you know who.

That only shows they Claim to care.
If they actually Do care, why are we still dealing with the bots and spammers?
You - yourself, can literally, and easily, find several Hundred bots in a day of play.
They could do the same thing on a GM character with Ban ability.
Zenimax makes the Active Decision Not to apply any Human action to the problem.
Look at it another way.
If you have a disease, and Claim to want to be cured..
But there Is a cure, and it works - and is available to you - but you refuse to consider it.....
How much credibility do your claims of wanting a cure hold?
They have Millions of subscribers now - there is No way they can't afford a single full time position for GMs.
Said GM could travel faster/further than you, and shift between instances, finding Orders of Magnitude More bots than you can.
But they don't.
Ergo, their Claims that eliminating the cheaters and spammers is a "Top Prirority" has no validity.
Or.. about as much as their claim that last week's ban sweep was NOT automated - when they later said that all of us who were falsely banned sending Help Requests allowed them to find the problem IN that automated process.

Suspending connection to suspicious countries for a limited amount of time.
With that you can pin point where bots are coming from.

Nope, won't help at all. That will just block legitimate players. The bots use VPN tunnels and proxies, and have for a long time. You will not be able to tell where they're coming from.
