make tab targeting do its job

✭✭✭As @Elwendryll said, it absolutely does have an effect on targeting, but that effect is extremely inconsistent. Sometimes it'll be hyper aggressive, forcing your character to turn a full 180° to attack the target you have tabbed, and other times it'll literally be an anti-target, causing your attacks to land on everyone else except the guy you have tabbed.
Well, thats because the system is fickle, and the computer also takes bribes. If the AI doesn't like the NPC, it wants it dead and makes you kill it first. This is especially true of spiders and rats.
If the NPC is a friend of the AI, or has paid their monthly 'dues' to the AI, the tab target Cloaks the target, hiding it, thus giving the NPC the best chance to survive.
