with recent change to trait it's even more needed than ever.

If the only reason people are in pvp is for transmutes, are they really adding to the long term health of the campaign? It might be better to encourage people who enjoy pvp to go there and those that don't to do other things they enjoy more.

It's probably not wise to suggest they monetize their own nerfs and changes in the future. At least at the moment, we use in game means to adjust. If they were to sell the solution to a change, it's a slippery slope and every change after that will appear as though they are doing it just to charge players to "fix" it after the fact.

well, i'm lvl 46 in pvp and i do miss some transmute because i also do some pve as a DD and more recently a tank with one single character, and since it's caped at 200 + the nodes cant be put in bank + bagslots arent infinite i had to litteraly waste hundreds of cristals.redspecter23 wrote: »

Well, if you remember well that is exactly what they did with racial changes: they did their stuff, gave a few race change tokens (3) which was way enough for me because i have only 1 toon but must have been a bad day for the players with multiple toons.. and drop all lasting race change tokens to the crown store...
actually, doing the same for traits would give them more informations and faster on top of making at least 3 sides happy: their banker, the player needing transmute and the players who dont know what to do with their crowns but may have a use of in game gold.

I remember the race changes well. I wasn't overly happy at the time. I gladly used my 3 free race changes, then bought a bunch more (via gold to gift exchange) to make up for the changes ZOS was making. I dealt with the issue with my own resources so I did fine. I still disagree with their decision to offer only 3 changes instead of one change per toon. It was a clear move to monetize their own changes, which isn't a good direction to ever encourage. Ideally, we should see changes (nerfs or buffs) based on what's needed in the game and it should never have anything to do with adding to their profits by directly charging you for changes they make.

Again, Not like what they did to race change which cant be obtained in any other way than creating a new char, cristal would still be purchasable on the regular way, but like for skyshards, you would necessarly need to waste hours/days for them.

There'd be no reason to run the base game dungeons that we've all done 400 times by now if it weren't for pledges being the quickest source of crystals for PvErs. If transmute crystals were made pay to win in crown store this would be very unhealthy for a lot of players trying to resist spending their limited dollars on them, if you want to make them purchasable just give them to ESO plus members each month.
For the OP to understand why this isn't desired by other players they will need to look outside of their own perspective. Thanks.

i dont think that being "forced" into doing dungeons for cristalz is a healthy feature.. ppl create toons and make them go to rank1pvp, barely leeching, in order to get them cristals now on, not really farm them with pledges as they are for keys mostly.
farming for months for some particular trait then find un irrelevant and have to go for others months of farming because some gear HAS to be transmuted (jewels) to fit anything is just the actual state of thing regardless this being healthy for the game or not.

I would suggest instead:
1. Dungeon pledges should award a transmute geode instead of a single crystal or two--green or blue for normal, blue or purple or gold for vet.
2. Veteran dungeon final bosses should always drop a geode, pledge or not.
3. Dragons should drop crystals more regularly.
4. Are crystals in the loot table for Harrowstorms? If not, add them.
5. There should be a way to earn gold transmute geodes outside of PVP.
