Any Plan to fix the Ultra Long Loading Screens?

The loading screens in this game are SERVER SIDED and are unreasonably long ... been like this since beta!
My computer is I7 9700 + NVME 3600mb/sec + 3400Mhz 32gb mem and to top it all, 2070 GTX, no reason AT ALL.
To prove it even further, if i play early morning, loading are less than 10 SECONDS.
If I play PTS when live is up, same result, loading screens are cut dramatically.
At peak time? sometimes over one minute.
Problem is not that its on "patch day", problem is that its every day since the game released.
Why????

Tyralbin✭✭✭✭✭They seem to have got worse since the last DLC patch.
It can take me up to 5 minutes just to get to the character select screen at busy periods.
I also now sometimes get a loading screen (non specific loading screen) just to get to the zone loading screen. Also since the last DLC patch.Live a little love a lot send all your gold to this Imperials pot.2 -
Eliran✭✭✭✭✭I don't understand why its so hard to fix it, its literally server issue.
From my understanding as a server programmer, I will give a super simple example:
1) Game (Client) load.
2) User send pass/login to login server > Login server confirm > request for account database is sent to main server.
3) User see "request loading", meanwhile game load graphics (in my computer that's probably 2/3 seconds, most its 10 seconds I believe), while waiting forever for the main server to provide the database information.
4) After Client receive the account database information, then again you send a request for a character database, which again is sent to the main server and takes even more forever till the server send it back.
I honestly don't get what takes so long, I work in a software mobile app company and even with apps that have 500k users we don't have those problems, once we had it was literally 2 days fix, mostly on resource management priority and computing power.
This game is how long? 6 years? still no fix on the most simple server task, there is just no excuse for that.

✭✭It's 100% server issue. The more people are in, the longer loading screens last.
Problem is that ESO server's are very weak, ZOS does not want to spend more money on upgrading them/buying extra capacity so they try to reduce server load through tweaks. But it's not working cause it's like trying to cure a cancer patient with a painkiller.6 -

Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis1 -
DigitalHype✭✭✭✭Player characer loading is a single-threaded process. Back in PTS 5.3.0 6.1.0 they tried implementing multi-threaded character loading and it failed. AFAIK, this was never implemented.

I might have got the version wrong. Although I think there have been multiple attempts. So, possibly there have been more than just one rollback of the attempt. I know there were also some more deatils forums threads on it at one point.
But PTS 6.1.0 is at least one attempted where they tried to add it. and rolled it back in PTS 6.1.3. I don't think it has ever made it to Live.

Perhaps more importantly, randomly as one goes about ones business in overland pve or in pvp, load screens pop up. Last night I died in pvp as a result of a load screen, its really not on and kind of game breaking in a pvp environment particularly.
One cannot help feeling that a huge part of the issue, is Zos not investing in and expanding their server capacity/performance, which for a company and game this size, is quite unacceptable..
For instance take characters slots as an example... we only have 18, and then only if we pay real money to unlock these... the main reason cited being, its too much storage space and Zos servers cannot handle it... meanwhile almost every other major MMO one can think of, gives a LOT more character slots, 100 in some cases, even for free. Stop the excuses.0 -

Zone load time is improved quite a bit with last update, character switch has not changed.I haven't decided yet if I got used to the loading screens or the game is a little bit faster now ...

Moving ESO to an SSD did not help load times.
Textures on outfits seems to load faster however. Probably got rid of the terrain bug at the undaunted enclave in Gratwood.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0 -

More like vet hard mode in Western Skyrim during the current event. Endless load screens just going through doors in Solitude. My wife and I often get kicked there during load screens. XB NA.By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!0
