Could the ignore list on the forum please be enlargened, too? 12 people is an incredibly low numer. I don't think having at least 500 would hurt. It would even cut down forum traffic.

Might as well remove the chat feature if you really want to be ahead of the game.

Nothing but trash is said all day long in every zone.

"Nothing but trash" depends on your definition of "trash," I guess.

I like to keep an eye on zone chat and guild chat just in case someone needs something I can help them with, such as sending a few ingredients or materials so they can do a writ, crafting some training gear, crafting gear for research, fighting a world boss, giving someone a lift to a different zone, etc.

Those kinds of things I'll make time for, unless I'm in a serious crunch to get my writs done.

But I'd rather not see a lot of real-world politics, especially if it looks like people are just trying to yank everyone's chain, or any crazy conspiracy theories about real-world health issues. And trash talk of a sexist nature, or infantile remarks about certain body parts, are also going to earn people an instant "ignore."
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

Didn't read all the replies, just making my own comment.

A large portion of my ignore list is from the launch of the game when gold sellers were rampant in the zone chats everywhere. Since those days I've barely really used it. What's going on outside of that that you'd fill it up so much, ignoring everyone who doesn't agree with you or something?

    The ultimate truth about PvP:
If people don't trash talk you, you're not as good PvPer as you thought.
"We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available."
    — They always claim they’re “investigating” the causes, but in reality they’re just waiting until the PC EU players go to bed. Once that happens, you can suddenly log in again and they happily mark the issue as Fixed.

I pretty much only ignore people as part of the automatic ignore when you report something someone has said. Even so my list is now full. I don't even know which people I ignored for what reasons. Probably most of the accounts on there are suspended due to what they were saying in zone chat or inactive because trolling got boring but since the accounts aren't removed from the list when action is taken I don't know who is safe to remove and who isn't.

I would like to see three things:

    - Size of list increased
    - List sorted by date ignored or at least display date ignored, so I know which ones are the oldest (and therefore safe to remove)
    - Automatical removal of accounts when the accounts are banned/suspended.

I manage this the same way on friends and ignore list, always add date and the reason to quickly remember what happened. Chat trolls usually or grief players are removed from that list, people who are simply dumb stay there :)

No offense but if you need to add more than 100 people to an ignore list you probably want to turn off chat all together.

Just because you want to filter away to obnoxious ones doesnt mean you also want to filter out all the players commiting themselves to decent behavior... If you spent time in zone chat everyday you can very quicky reach 100 on the ignore list. There's a lot of players and a lot of them will at times write offensive things. Me personally I dont care at all about what people say, I dont get offended about anything thankfully; but if I did I can certainly understand why someone can quickly reach 100 ignores.

He over exaggerated intentionally to make a point and it went right over your head. Lol

So...everyone in the game is jerk except for you? Is that what I am getting from this post? How many people have you angered enough that you had to ignore them?

How many people insist on spamming zone chat with real world political crap, and won't shut up no matter how many people ask, politely, that many people play the game to avoid the real world political crap, so please stop. There are the occasional special snowflakes that troll racist/homophobic garbage, but I've ignored many more political trolls than the racist/homophobic ones. It really isn't simply "people *you* have angered". It can be moronic trolls that won't shut up until/unless a moderator/gm/whoever gets the reports shuts them down.

Now with an election in the U.S., and the divisiveness currently occurring, it isn't going to get better.

All in the title. I am having to remove people from my list to add new ones. What is the point of having an ignore list if I am forced to remove people from them to add new ones? At least make it hold 500 names. That would be better.

    I agree.

Without reading the comments I can already tell people are using the standard arguments of...

"If you block people it says more about you than it does them"
"I dont block people so why do you?"
"I only have 1 or 2 people blocked. If you need more you are the problem"
"but if you block 500 people you will be alone and the player base will be completely blocked"

    etc etc...

Maybe even a few "why focus on that when we need x fixed first?" comments...

So have fun with those yawn worthy replies...

While some people put up with bad behaviour like its a badge of honor... some people care so little about it that we just click two times and its done.

However... good luck not being eaten alive on this forum filled with "wonderful" people.

This thread sums up the forum perfectly.

Does increasing the ignore list (a feature deemed important enough to have been in the game since the start), cause a downside to any other player? No.
Will it help those that use it often and require a larger list? Yes.

But still we have people arguing against it. Smh

I'd also like friends list to be longer. I mean I don't see anything wrong with a longer ignore list this is a game on the interwebs and some people will be ***.

But I would also like a longer limit to friends lists. In fact why do we have these limits? I mean I've played other online games that had no limit to these things.

There's at least 200 active trading guilds, correct?

Ignore list should be increased to accommodate all of their recruiters.
