This is not meant to be a bash PVP post. PVP needs their events like PVE does. Just stop trying to force PVE players from having to go to a PVP zone for PVE rewards. Conversely, offer PVP items and rewards only in PVP zones so that PVP players do not have to play PVE. For those who want to do both, make sure PVE and PVP events do not happen at the same time.
Gaming the system is a new one this year, due to the event tickets being tied to the dailies.
Last year, all we had to do was kill a boss in Imperial City, or finish the dungeons. Oh, the woes and lamentations from people who hated PVP but just wanted quick tickets from the Imperial City bosses!
Oh, right, no one was being forced to PVP. Not last year and not this year either.
If you don't want to PVP, run the dungeons! You'll get the same event rewards (minus double Tel Var). Don't whine when you come to a PVP-enabled zone for quick rewards and *gasp* PVP happens.

It always amazes me that a PVPer is always quick to use the whine taunt against PVEers, but have no qualms about complaining about having to do PVE. For the record, if I want the berries for the current Indrik, I have no choice but to do this PVP event in IC. As I said on another post, the loot in the IC dungeons does not interest me. I have no use for telvar stones because anything that I would want to buy using them, I can get cheaper and easier other ways. I currently have over 100,000 stones just sitting in the bank. If you want me to come to do IC events, then offer me something that I want besides event tickets. Frankly, I find Cyrodiil to be much more interesting.
I just would like the ability to have 2 setups and no cost swap between them 1 for PVE and 1 for PVP. If this was available IMHO more PVE only players would enjoy PVP as they could have setups that would work better in PVP.
Sorta unrelated but since there are so many knowledgeable people commenting on this thread, what would a person have to do to get the Indrik mount and a fancy variant of it while starting from scratch?
Edit: found a guide on the mount. It takes 40 tickets to make the mount and 40 to evolve. How many tickets will be available from this event? 12 days x 3? 36. So just sort of being able to get the base mount. Lame.

@Pandorii, you can get 39 tickets in the event due to the fact that the event begins and ends at 10 AM EDT, but daily rollover for daily jobs and earning tickets is at 2 AM EDT, so if you're able to squeeze in some play between 10 AM EDT and 2 AM EDT on the first day, and then between 2 AM EDT and 10 AM EDT on the last day, you'll be able to get 13 days of tickets.
This can either be easy or difficult to do, depending on your time zone-- especially on the last day, because often they schedule server maintenance to begin at 4 AM EDT, meaning you might only get to play from 2 AM EDT to 4 AM EDT, and then (if maintenance ends on time) from 8 AM EDT to 10 AM EDT.
Anyway, if you're able to earn 39 tickets in the event, you can buy 1 more from the Crown Store to get that 40th ticket, enough to buy all 4 feathers and summon a Nascent Indrik.
Use this to get rapids back if you need it, should only take a hour.

Yes, it's close. Well, kind of? Not really? Midyear Mayhem was from June 25-July 7. That's almost two months ago. We also had Summerset in between.
However, last year's Imperial City Event was also at the start of September. And it would have followed closeish on the heels of a Midyear Mayhem in July if ZOS had not cancelled it due to their failure to fix the Battleground queue.
2018 also saw the two events in very short succession, with MYM coming July 26-Aug 6 and IC running at the beginning of September again. Orsinium ran concurrently with the end of MYM that year.
So if it's a problem, take it up with ZOS' schedule. Having Midyear Mayhem somewhere in June/July/August and then Imperial City in September seems to be normal state of affairs. I suppose we could push it into October, but then we've got a MYM in January, plus the triumvirate of big festivals (Witches, Undaunted, New Life) that usually happens in Q4.
And as has been stated, this event isn't just a PVP event. Unlike MYM, there is a no risk, PVE-only option: running White Gold Tower or Imperial City Prison.
Here's a thought: I think it would be a reasonable request for ZOS to do one PVP-enabled event per Quarter. That way people who want to skip that event can plan accordingly for big-ticket items like mounts and pets.
Q1: MYM
Q2: Anniversary (lots of people do PVP dailies)
Q3: MYM2
Q4: Imperial City
Thoughts?
Why do so many people act like PVP and PVE are two separate games?
I spend way more time PVEing, but enjoy jumping into PVP occasionally. I'm not very good at it, which makes it MORE fun because I feel like I'm improving way faster. It's like being Level 10 and getting killed by cliffracers again - but you tweak your build, slot some different skills, approach things differently...and you start surviving for longer. And it's refreshing to use skills and gear that rarely get touched in PVE world.
I feel like a lot of people take PVP way too seriously, and make it out to be some giant troll fest of toxic players whispering death threats as they teabag your corpse. Personally I think there's a lot more potential for nastiness in PVE pugs, especially if you're doing something as egregious as learning how to tank or field testing a new build. Embrace the freedom of PVP! The freedom to die every ten minutes without letting down a group, the freedom to learn how to be a sneaky backstabber and the freedom to finally use heavy armour on a DPS build!
I also disagree with the 'forced' thing. It's event tickets for a mount, mere cosmetic frippery. I imagine most people already have a reasonable collection already. 'Forced' would be running Maelstrom/DSA for a bow to bring your DPS up to par. Or running a dungeon for a particularly good set. Or, you know, playing the game for hundreds of hours to get to CP810.
The game contains heaps of different content; if you want to unlock everything in it, you should be prepared to participate in all of it. Just as many skins and titles are locked behind difficult PVE content, some cosmetics are locked behind (not very challenging at all - this is the 'I ran in a race!' of challenge) PVP content.
Stop whinging and have some fun!

What a great idea!
We don't even have the Cyrodil dailies to give other chances for a daily quest.
I am sure this will make many PvP players happy as the have lots of targets. Why fix the bugs in PvP whe. You can generate lots of easy targets instead?

It wasn't that crowded together last year, which is my point. I don't know how much I paid attention to these in 2018.
I would have no problem adding a PvP option to almost any event. I just hate being squished into IC so soon (yes 2 months is soon) after MYM.
I am still not sure how you prevent quest ganking. It only takes a few to completely ruin the zone.
