Good players can still be on a team that gets steamrolled, if they are paired with three bad players.
The difference now is that you can't make a pre-made to make yourself immune from steamrolls, while making it far more likely for everyone else in the queue at that time to be steamrolled. Solo queue only creates much more equitable steamroll opportunity.
No one is making excuses, none are needed. I would be shocked if anyone believed the removal of pre-mades would also remove steamrolls. Every competitive game has scenarios where one team dominates another. Removing premades just made it so it couldn't be the same team dominating again and again.
You claimed it can happen to anyone. Which is false. Only happens to casuals. You can be a good player and still get kills while your team of casuals gets steamrolled. So what's the excuse now? All of a sudden now you don't have an excuse why casuals are still doing bad? But yall were using the premade excuse for getting steamrolled. Now you have no excuse. Interesting. Wonder why. Maybe it's not premades. Maybe it's a L2P issue
So, in this game, where "casuals" aka PvE players make up the majority of the player base, you find THEM to be the problem. If it wasn't for the "casuals" queuing and getting steamrolled, you wouldn't be queuing in the first place, would you?
What exactly makes a "good player"? Good at PvP ? Casuals mostly queue because ZOS made the style pages only available from playing BGs. We would be more than happy to be matched with other "casuals" and you can keep your "good players" and queue with them, since the MMR doesn't work as intended ("good players" make new characters to be put in BG with "casuals" - How do i know? Quite obvious, one person is enough to kill 2 other groups continuously. I guess we all just need to L2P, right ?)
casuals usually only queue for dailies. If it weren't for casuals complaining about premades, we wouldn't have this problem. I can pull up forum after forum about casuals complaining over and over about premades. But now premades are gone and they still get steamrolled. It's definitely L2P issue. Premades was an excuse
Let me drill this into your head: PVE casuals who only queued for dailies absolutely were not the only ones complaining about premades.

You don’t seem to be getting the point.
Removing pre-mades has put everyone on equal footing. Good solo queued players were always at a disadvantage compared to coordinated pre-mades wearing sets and running skills that complemented one another. Even if you had an entire team of good solo queued players, they were almost always guaranteed to lose to the pre-made, simply because their gear/class/skill combos weren’t as optimized as the pre-made’s. Unless pre-made groups came up against other pre-made groups in the same match, they had a guaranteed win 95% of the time.
It wasn’t fun for anyone who preferred to queue solo, and it destroyed BGs for that group of players.
If I still played ESO, I’d be down for separate queues: solo only and group only.
and guess what? Casual players are still almost guaranteed to get steamrolled even without premades. So again, what's the excuse now?
Why do you keep bringing up casual players? I’m not talking about casual players. I’m talking about good players who ran BGs exclusively while solo queued as their main activity in this game.
Because if you didn't know, casuals were the ones complaining constantly on forums about getting steamrolled against premades. But now that they are still getting steamrolled without premades, excuses are running out. Pretty sure premades weren't the reason they were dying a lot.
It wasn’t just casuals. Good solo players were also in the mix. It wasn’t about “dying a lot,” it was about losing to the same premades over and over again. As a solo queued player, I could certainly achieve a reasonable KDR and a reasonable individual score by picking off the players who DIDN’T have a pocket healer and OP group set combos doing most of the heavy lifting for them, but it was frustrating to lose to premades simply because I was playing with randoms.
Tell me this: would you support separate queues? A solo only queue and a premade only queue? Or do you want to go back to playing the majority of your matches in a group versus solo queued players?
it was actually mainly casuals that were complaining about premades. Premades are gone. They are still dying a lot. Premadea or not they are still gonna die a lot. Unless they actually L2P. But they won't. They want to be silver spoon fed and everything handed to them

There you go again twisting my claim again. Still no excuse for always losing with your 4 man while others have no problems?
Ah yes, the ol’ “queue times” argument. LOL, I used to get 15-30 minute queue times back when I played ESO and BGs regularly as a solo player going up against cheese premades. Queue times have very little to do with the BG population, and a lot more to do with the MMR system.
Admit it: you just want to go back to having a huge advantage. It’s not about “playing with friends.” If it were, you would support a group-only queue. If there were as many groups who wanted to run BGs in premades as you claim there are, you’d have no problem finding matches if ZOS tweaked the way the MMR works and the impact it has on queue times.

I can show you forums of casuals complaining about premades. On steam and reddit as well
And I can show you plenty of posts made by higher MMR solo players who were sick and *** tired of losing to the exact same premade group match, after match, after match.
And when I queued solo I didn't complain when we lost against premades. Guess what I did? I got better instead.
I queued solo against premades. You never heard me come on here and complain about it. I actually got better instead of complaining. PvP friends weren't always online. Sometimes I queued solo.
Again, the biggest issue isn´t if premades are up against non-premades and you all can argue back and forth about this forever. But you all are ignoring the elephant in the room.
The underlying issue is the lack of a proper ranking system and leaderboards that also give good rewards. But when ZOS makes statements that they don´t want players to see their MMR ratings because they´re afraid people might get bullied, you know we ain´t going to have anything good anytime soon.
I´d rather be playing against 4-stacked premades in battlegrounds (even as a solo player) as long as I know I´ve the option to queue with a friend when/if they´re online. And separating the queues might work if enough players return to play battlegrounds again. But people seem to fail to realize that the main reason to why "high mmr" games takes ages to queue for, is the MMR system`s/launch tool´s inability to match people together. So again, we´re back to the ranking system failing..
I´ve said it before and I´ll say it again, if ZOS wants to keep their current MMR system, they need to reset it more often than they do. The best way however would be to implement "Ranked Battlegrounds" and "Non-ranked battlegrounds".
Ranked matches allows you to queue with any group size, and any scores achieved in such game will give credit to the leaderboard. Losing games makes you lose MMR, and winning games increases your MMR. Fairly simple (in theory at least). Leaderboards would have to be reworked so that your ranking there improves your rewards (not like now where you can get the same reward as position #99 as #1on the leaderboard).
Non ranked battlegrounds only allows for solo queue and doesn´t give credit to leaderboards. You still gain AP and and such, but your MMR doesn´t change depending on the outcome of the battleground.
