There are a few days left until the event starts and the gank fest begins. Your best bet is to use this time to do all 6 IC dailies on 2 characters, so you're good for 12 days of event tickets, just hand in one quest per day.

Oh my god I'm so dumb, I never thought of this, this is a brilliant suggestion epecially given tI'm just not feeling this event this time.

(It's not you, IC, it's me.)

Forced if you want the daily tickets.

Maybe I am wrong, but I recall the dungeons being ones that killed me taster than getting ganked on the PvP quests. And that seemed to happen quickly most of the time in the recent Mid Year event.

Who even cares about the event tickets now?

Al events are PvE. We have MyM and IC for PvPers and yet the moaning starts. And IC is a hybride zone

    Come on now. Seriously

They are actually pre-Greymoor sets. Most good pvp players I ve died from (and they are truly better than me), never killed me with proc sets but with their skills. Personally dont have any problem with people using dot sets, I use from time to time too depending on the situation, but whispering someone to call him "useless" etc when you are not a skilled player, is idiotic the least.

Yeah but sheer venom was not a proc set that was also a execute proc dot they buffed a already strong proc set

If I'm not mistaken,in the gamescom interviews they said that they were running this event to stress test PvP servers and dig for bugs, since they can't replicate the large amount of players on their in house servers. Especially now with Russia being added for localization also.

Why have an event in a zone that is clearly not popular?

My guess is that they want to have a live test of their "backend changes" under load. But I'm afraid, based upon the new bugs introduced to IC with Update 27 (gap closers greyed out and unusable, for instance), that they aren't going to be pleased with the results.

Is THAT why I couldn't used my gapclosers today?!? Wow, I hadn't heard of this one yet, it was super annoying.

Sigil of Imperial Retreat will be your friend. I recommend never leaving the base without one during the events.

Sorta unrelated but since there are so many knowledgeable people commenting on this thread, what would a person have to do to get the Indrik mount and a fancy variant of it while starting from scratch?

Edit: found a guide on the mount. It takes 40 tickets to make the mount and 40 to evolve. How many tickets will be available from this event? 12 days x 3? 36. So just sort of being able to get the base mount. Lame.

Yeah, we can get double Tel Var stones that others can steal when they gank us!

    What a great idea!

We don't even have the Cyrodil dailies to give other chances for a daily quest.

I am sure this will make many PvP players happy as the have lots of targets. Why fix the bugs in PvP whe. You can generate lots of easy targets instead?

You don't have to participate. There are way more PVE events than pvp in this game. PVE is a much higher priority as well. Some people complained about a little lag in Trials and zos responded. The pvp servers is the only thing less relaible than a Yugo.

@FlopsyPrince WGT on normal is extremely easy. That was what i ran last year on repeat for the entire event. I had just startrd and was nothing special, even bad in many ways. As long as you know and respect the mechanics it's one of the easier ones if you ask me.

And what of the people who think PVP events are fun? Or those who think the dungeons are stressful? There are events for everyone, and considering there are way fewer PVP events than PVE events, maybe take a seat and don’t expect every event to cater to you?

Even I, as a 90% pvp player, had no problem with vet content beside some dlc HM ones which I enter first time, but I cleared everything I enter even if it took some whipes.
And I only wear basic pve sets like Juliano's and mothers sorrow + maw and maelstrom backbar all purple beside golden weapons.
Copied an Youtube rotation, spend 2 hours on a dummy and that's it.
I'm not a pro, but I can get without any hard work to 40-50k dps depends on group and buffs they provide (in vet dungeons, didn't play trials yet)

If someone don't want to "work" for better results and just want to play skyrim online it's totally okay, but when they should except that their is content uthey simply can't do and a lot of players like me like challenges in the one or the other way and eso only had a few challenges compared to the rp content it has.

You can grab the mount-specific berries first, then spend later event tickets for getting feathers to make the base Nascent Indrik. Why do it that way? So that you can finish getting feathers next quarter.

That said: For the last event of last year (the annual New Life Festival), they re-offered all the berries for all the mounts, in case somebody had previously missed some. They did not however re-offer the mini-mount pets. (They should do the latter this year.)

When you have to game an event (do dailies and bank them) in order not to have to endure that event, there is a problem. Forcing people to go to Imperial City is not going to make them want to do PVP. The fact that PVP is all but dead except during these events, should be an indicator that this approach is not working.

This is not meant to be a bash PVP post. PVP needs their events like PVE does. Just stop trying to force PVE players from having to go to a PVP zone for PVE rewards. Conversely, offer PVP items and rewards only in PVP zones so that PVP players do not have to play PVE. For those who want to do both, make sure PVE and PVP events do not happen at the same time.

Gaming the system is a new one this year, due to the event tickets being tied to the dailies.

Last year, all we had to do was kill a boss in Imperial City, or finish the dungeons. Oh, the woes and lamentations from people who hated PVP but just wanted quick tickets from the Imperial City bosses!

Oh, right, no one was being forced to PVP. Not last year and not this year either.

If you don't want to PVP, run the dungeons! You'll get the same event rewards (minus double Tel Var). Don't whine when you come to a PVP-enabled zone for quick rewards and *gasp* PVP happens.

part of the problem with imperial city bosses wasn't even the ganking (though it was plentiful) part of the problem was that many of the bosses were bugged and would NOT drop the tickets. and its not that they were the "wrong" bosses either. they were the same type, but some would drop tickets and others... would not (even if you were eligible for loot... which is a whole other can of worms)

    but anyways...

Yeah, I have no doubt the issues with the boss tickets and probably the negative reaction to other non-daily events like Murkmire and Dragon Rise is the reason for the change. After all, if PVEers weren't happy with just killing a boss, they wouldn't want it to become harder by having to spend more time in the zone doing a quest.

My point was more that "gaming the event" or not is pretty irrelevant to the problems of PVP-hating players choosing to "endure" the event by participating in PVP-enabled content despite having two PVE-only options. They complained last year too.

This is actually the good one, they don't force PvP in this one. There will be TONS of groups running ICP and WGT, and people will be honing their speed-run skills during this so you won't have to wait much. Good time to get with a guild or just group up from zone chat instead of using the group finder, too. I have never bothered with PvP during the Imperial City event, haven't had to, thankfully.

Options are there, both pvp (IC) and pve (dungeons). If you don't know how to play or don't want to learn it, that's not ZoS problem. They still give you the option to buy tickets.

Seriously, what do you want other than complain? To receive the tickets just for logging in? for light-attacking mudcrabs to death?

It's a theme-specific event, there is no sense in giving the rewards for it outside of the related zones.

And after all, no one is forcing you to do it. If you want something, work for it, don't be lazy

to be honest, as a pveer, I'd rather do a quest even if I get killed along the way, then rely on a boss kill. all day, every day. my biggest worry back then was not getting to loot the boss, or boss loot being bugged if I did get to loot the boss, since tickets don't drop again, if you managed not to get them the first time.

quest turn in, just seems like a far more secure way of getting tickets. as for gaming events - we've been gaming events in one way or another since they became a thing, TBH. people didn't invent saving up quest turn in for midyear mayhem, THAT comes from saving crafting writs for the anniversary events, to maximize those anniversary boxes.

but hey, whatever creative use of game mechanics works, right? :)

having dungeon option is good and WGT has been nerfed so many times that I think maybe people afraid of it - just haven't done it recently. it feels easier and faster then half the base game dungeons at this point.

I love PvP and I've played (and enjoyed it) on full loot, exp loss (and even perma-death) servers in the past, but IC is just plain badly designed.

Everything about the system favours the ganker, and makes it unfun to play there (unless you are ganking yourself).

At the very least you shouldn't be able to loot more TV from a player than you are carrying yourself.
