Templars are overpowered, bringing them back in line with changes that aren't needed is fine with me.
That line would be the bottom line? I'd prefer balance myself.
IDK where this is coming from both my magplar and stamplars are doing just over the damage they did before the patch on live servers (when i dont get a boat load of laf). maybe you need to adjust your parse/CPs/abilities so that you adjust to the patch instead of the patch adjusting to you.

3 sec cooldown would be way too long, it would need to hit considerably harder.
My idea was to make the stacks last longer, and then make skills like javelin, charge, sun shield and radial sweep give 2 stacks as these abilities don't hit often anyway.
Or remove the cooldown at least so we can hit multiple targets with burning light at the same time.
Those are some pretty weak numbers, how did you even die to those jabs? That's like 800 dmg per tick.
Also why did you stand still for the Templar to just jab you?

You are right actually, that the total damage of the full puncturing sweep, since it says 4 behind the thing, so he took a total of 12 jab hits, and not 1 burning light procced it seems, so if anything it shows just how bad this is for pvp.
He probably thinks that 1 hit was 3.5k, lol. And in fact, as you can see the last killing blow was about 800 damage, which is basically what you pointed out.

This change didn’t effect pve much either so it’s a win-win.
Great job ZOS!

Wardens don’t have a good burst heal in their toolkit
https://eso-skillbook.com/skill/bursting-vines
Ha! 1403 compared to 18k+ breath of life you are out of your *** mind.
How are you getting 18K? Is that a crit?
Yes, but base is still around 8500. 1767 spell damage, 3000 mag rec. Olo/jorvulds/bogs.
100 blessed 100 elfborn. 24 magicka/44 health. Essence of spell crit pots. Tri-stat food. Powered trait front bar/ precise back bar. It would hit harder if I went full 64 in magicka, but healers shouldn’t be glassy.
Templar is the best for burst heal end game vet hm trials. Warden, while being great support, can’t keep up when crap hits the fan. Granted mine is fun to play in dungeons, but I would never take one in hm content. When I have seen two wardens in, everyone else ran vigor, and a temp was running bol. So get off your knees over wardens people.
You said Warden didn't have a good burst heal. That statement is not true. It's the go to for vSS tomb healer precisely because of busting vines and the ability to target the tomb sacrifice. I checked on my templar and warden with same sets and mundus, and the base for BV is higher than BOL. It's fine to say that you prefer BOL for your play style, but to say Warden does not have a good burst heal at all is completely wrong. It does. And if you are having trouble playing a warden when the "crap hits the fan", I'd suggest that it's more related to your ability to heal on a warden than it is the class toolkit itself.

because nothing is possible in front of a Templar...

I play PVP and I too am tired of seeing PVE nerfs to my build for PVP reasons.
Nerfing PVE because of PVP is a horrible solution.
Too many skills and morphs have been nerfed into obscurity for no good PVE reason.
How you abuse things in PVP doesn't translate well in PVE and vice versa.
Bow-Bow got butchered in PVE after snipe got nerfed and nerfed and nerfed. Now it's by far the worst choice of weapon in PVE for anything but a backbar. Not to mention how super derp the weapon is, at times he'll just hold the bow towards the sky and not fire it...
in 99% of instances you'll not find people use bow-bow in high level play, it's too derp and the spammable is a joke in PVE.
Then they nerfed Purifying light/power of the light. It used to be the whole team could add to the damage cap. But of course PVP had to change that for PVE players so now the damage is only calculated from the player, essentially a 300% nerf as the other 3 players can't help you reach damage cap during stressful fights in dungeon fights.
And now the spear is derp and the passive is unforgiven.
Templar is turning into the bow-bow build for classes in PVE. Only newbies and solo pve players will use him.
I hope they reverse this stupid change for PVE.
While they're at it they can nerf all PVP skills to do 1 damage. That way nobody can cry about things being overpowered.. But still I somehow think someone would make the argument lol.

It was the final nail in the coffin of a class I loved, and honestly the final nail in the coffin to make me quit playing for a while. I'll come back when I can actually play my favorite character.

well play a stamplar and tell me how much ovepowered we are.. that is the worst stam class of alls
and yes i play alls of them
Very constructive arguments. Can you explain what aspect exactly is OP?WARchief10K wrote: »It's opinions like these that bring nerfs. Most people use Templars as healers... A nerve becomes more than crucial on this toxic class in no CP, impossible to compete, dps much too powerful!
Players abuse with impunity "Puncturing Strikes" spells over 8k while they are not the ultimate spells, make a serious nerve to this class which benefits far too much from Updates compared to other classes.
I just got back and find that my magicka classes are just nerfed into the ground. I went to play my Templar and he does so low damage now and I can't figure a way to make him do more.
All the class abilities are crap and do low damage and awkward to use.
The healing is crap and harder to use.
I went into some dungeons in Cryodiil and it took me twice as long to kill the tougher mobs as my stamina characters and with wearing cloth armor is not a good thing.
Why are you over nerfing all the magicka classes? My mage is also awkward to use in PVE.
I looked for some class builds and they are all using skills that suck for soloing and not that great for damaging and you can't get a rotation that I can see how to get any benefit from animation cancelling.
Do you people play any of these classes?
I have been saying for a while you need to separate PVP and PVE skills!!!
O I forgot to mention that what the hell with the passives? You basically might as well have removed some of them as they suck so so bad!!!
