Does anyone think crafting was purposely made difficult to max out to keep subscriptions?
I do not think you understand what "difficult crafting" actually is. The system in ESO is closer to the "easy" side than the "difficult" side of the barometer.... maybe around a 3.5 or so.
I think they wanted to make the game challenging, if it wasn't a challenge it would be rather boring. In all of the Elderscrolls games you need to bust @%# to max out your skills (unless you cheat and use console commands).
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.
