The article states:
"As you venture throughout Summerset, you’ll receive extra loot from all daily quest rewards, resource nodes, world, delve bosses, and Psijic Portals (only in Summerset!). Even better, the first time you complete an Abyssal Geyser, delve, world boss daily quest, or the Cloudrest trial weekly quest each day, you’ll earn a Glorious Summerset Coffer in addition to your regular rewards."
Emphasis added.
What is going wrong?
same with me
Did 2 delves and 1 Geyser. It doesn't say delve quest. It says first time you complete a delve. Not even sure where a delve quest comes from. Located the delves on the map and went - like usual. 3 normal boxes, no Glorious, no tickets (not that I mind the ticket part - think the green slimy mount looks horrible )
Logic:
- Why would they separate world boss daily quest, but give rewards just for delve or geyser without quest?
- Every DLC zone event it was like this - rewards for dailies
I mean, yes, wording was never ZOS's strength, but do we really have everything explained to us as if we had brain damage?

Re your second point and just to be That Person, Murkmire was not like that. You got the tickets from killing something, anything.

Neither was the previous Summerset event, or the Elseweyr one. In both cases I was able to park a character at a boss of my choice and just kill them once per day for tickets without ever needing to pick up the quest.
The only zone event I remember requiring a quest was the Morrowind one, and that had much less ambiguous wording in the announcement.

And Murkmire system was horrible, hope we never see it again

Any event where you had to loot a corpse for your tickets and reward box seemed to be a problem for some players, but the Murkmire event's addition of RNG to that scenario was even more problematic.
Honestly, I think this Summerset event method is a great improvement, despite any initial confusion due to the wording of the announcement or players' expectations and assumptions based on how previous events worked.
I understand to confusion, butnewtinmpls wrote: »Well Grammar.
Here is the comment from original article:

In the past, (and I'm thinking of the first time we got Plunder Skulls for the Halloween quest) there have been many events where you just "did the thing" and got the loot box/whatever/prize.
So looking at the above, it read (to me, and to many) like:
You get GLORIOUS goodies by
1-Complete a Geyser
2-Complete a delve (I will admit that due to it being "a Summerset" event I did presume that it would have to be a Summerset delve - otherwise it would have been Geysers AND Anchors for #1)
3-Complete (i.e. fight) a [presumably Summerset] world boss
4-Complete a daily quest (now granted, one could argue that IF dailies other than World Bosses were meant, that there should have been some punctuation - but bear with me)
5-Cloudrest weekly quest
This understanding was absolutely in line with
-past events
-the actual wording of the description of this event
While I do thank those who pointed out that each of these had to be "related to a quest" in order to qualify (and that did fix my understanding nicely, so that's fine), I also have a LOT of sympathy for those who, like me, were confused by the confusing instructions.
