Set bonus
(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) When you use an Ultimate ability, you heal you and your allies within 20 meters of you for 30 Health per point of the Ultimate's cost.
"Lamia's Song:
This set now grants 25 Health, Magicka, and Stamina per Ultimate point spent to up to 6 nearby group members, rather than restoring 30 Health per Ultimate point spent to them."

I've been one of the people - if not the ONLY person - advocating for this set to be buffed (still have all the gear I farmed) and it finally happened. Yeah, it's not really that great still with the healing reduction after it's already going to be cut in PVP by Battle Spirit, but I still have a thing for it. And it's more useful now, so much so that I can actually consider using it again.

In other news, regarding buffs, I'm also happy about the change to Innate Axiom. I think I'm going to roll an Innate Axiom + Lamia Song combo again.

Now, if only ZOS would complete Arx Corinium II!

Update: Below is a small adjustment that I believe would put Lamia's Song on a level with the new sets being released:

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery. When you use an Ultimate ability, you restore 25 Health, Magicka, and Stamina per Ultimate point spent to up to 6 nearby group members.

Honestly this buff makes this set feel like a really strong contender for healers; it's one that I will absolutely go for this patch because I can resource restore more often and in bigger volumes as a sorc healer. My ult only costs something like 170 anyways so I can grant some pretty nice resource pools with this 5p.

I've been playing with this set on a Warden hybrid build so I can heal and attack with my bear. Love this idea.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I needed a little more healing when going offensive on the front bar so I really liked the idea of this set. And on my back bar, I had the Restoration ultimate or Rememberance slotted and the set gave a little extra umph to those heals.

I still think it's a little underpowered, especially considering that the 5 piece bonus does not benefit you unless you use an ultimate. It feels more like a monster set that way.

I think if the 5 piece bonus was at least 30 points of resources per ultimate point when activating an ultimate, that would make the set go from "Eh... maybe?" to "OH yeah!"

But for now, people will probably still consider it "trash", especially when you campare it to the sexier damage sets out there. It could use just a bit more of an adjustment upward before the pts ends.

    Just some feedback @ZOS_GinaBruno

That would be 4250 Healing to 6 others. So, the question then becomes, how often can you fire that 170 Cost Ultimate?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The resource is per ultimate cost, so I wouldn't say ult cost reduction is what you want for it... Probably best class for it will be necro with insane ult generation on adds.

    And Nords.

You definitely want good ultimate generation.

I'm going to propose one small adjustment that I believe would put Lamia's Song on a level with the new sets being released and get it out of the trash bin:

(2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery. When you use an Ultimate ability, you restore 25 Health, Magicka, and Stamina per Ultimate point spent to up to 6 nearby group members.

The additional line of magicka recovery gives the five piece bonus some usefulness when you don't have an ultimate up. I mean, it seems on par with how loaded sets are now.

Ooh yeah that does sound like a really nice buff. Goodness the amount of that set I have deconstructed as I farmed for UI. I always like the sound of it, but an entire 5 piece set just to buff an ulti a little bit, was never ever enough for it to be considered. Now, that buff isn't just health, it could worm its way into a few builds I imagine, using it with for instance the Warden tree heal ulti, this could provide reasonable sustain as well as health.

    I like the change.

I just noticed that , after the changes, the Witchman armor gets TWICE the resources restored than Lamia's Song and I'm wondering why that is.

Is any of the devs aware of this, @ZOS_GinaBruno?

why is this even a question? witchmans doesn't restore resources to the group of up to 6 people. i'd personally love a magicka witchmans, so that when i activate an ultimate i actually feel like i've got a bunch of resources back, it doesn't feel like i get much at all when using song.

I forgot about the group thing. Derp.

But I'm more sure now that Lamia's Song needs an additional 5 piece bonus (like an additional 129 magicka recovery).

I love the changes to both witchman and lamias song and I am looking forward to using them both.

Hopefully they do add a group stamina and a solo magicka version of each in the future.
