For me, it's some of the antiquities that drop from safeboxes. Right now I'm having trouble with the Tri-Angled Truth Altar and the Silvenar Sap-Stone. The sites I look at say you can either get it from the trial or treasure maps in Gold Coast. But I've done so many treasure maps there I'm beginning to doubt if the information is correct.

Meridian Sconce drops from the end boss of Depths of Malatar. I've received 2 from normal as have many people I've grouped with. Your source seems to be inaccurate.

Yeah looks like I've been lied to, so no wonder I couldn't find it.

Thanks for the correction. I'll try that boss see if I have better luck.

Anything that doesn't drop immediately.

First stained glass mirror lead, second dragon.
Second lead... 40+ and still no second lead.

Nerevvar Moon and Star - 25 dailies. I got tired of these 3 years ago...

St. Alessia Paravant... yeah, still not in BG rewards.

I've run Darkshade I and Volenfell 25+ times each with no leads for pieces of the wolf mount yet...

It's available and I've gotten the lead from both Bosses in IC (upper and sewers) and chests in sewers.

Does ANYONE have a reliable place to farm Thieves Troves? Have tried Bleakrock and Khenarthi's Roost, and they are OK, but is there anywhere better?

@Palindiil Containers, such as thieves troves, I tend to try to get them at hours where's less ppl around (late at night or early in the morning)

If you play on PC, the addon harvest map has the locations of every thieves troves in-game.

I was doing quite well for a time, really enjoying looking for leads, then about a month ago, I stopped finding new leads, no matter where I looked or which guide I followed. Not that I don't need 8 Thrones, or 10 Anomolies,

but, UGH. I have even found some that say "This lead is no longer available"... (Then why is it in this box?) My find new lead thingy must be broken.

Just about anything and everything locked behind Group Dun., Trials, PvP, World Boss (Unless other people show up)...basically anything that requires other people to gain access to the area/boss you need to take down.

It sucks, I can't really group up due to lack of communication with team/guilds, so I'm sticking to the game as a solo and I've accepted it.

Yeah, I saw that too. I started my treasure map burn through last night and knocked out my stockpile of Greenshade, Grahtwood and Bangkorai maps, lol. Still need the chapters from a couple zones although I can't remember which. I was really hoping to not buy any maps at traders with the currently inflated prices, but I now assume they will only go up further.

The Stained Glass from NE. I gave up after spending five days killing dragons and not one lead in sight. And getting enough dragons in NE is a problem in and of itself, since there aren't a lot of people killing those anymore. So you often have to wait around a long time until enough people show up. To then not have the lead drop is *really* frustrating...

Thanks to this thread I was able to get the Meridian Sconce.

But The Heartland seems to be my obstacle now. I've killed so many Cyrodil Delve bosses I've lost count and still no lead.

The wolf mount piece in Darkshade Caverns I took me ... enough attempts for me never wanting to see a kwama again. But I got it in the end.

The one that does my head in the most is the Beacon of Tower Zero, though. Not because I can't find it - I have four of the things by now, but need another four for getting my Psijic Villa properly lit up. Running countless loops around Stormhaven picking runestone nodes and finding heartbreak at every single psijic portal does funny things to your perception of the term "game" after a while ...

You'll hate me, then. I can't seem to enter any Cyro delve or IC without picking up a Heartland lead almost immediately. It's has now reached the point of "Oh nooooo, not _another_ Heartland?!"

Motifs - haven't had ANY drop as yet.

Also, must have killed 200 wolves on Betnikh so far, no lead as yet for the Malacath mythic piece.

Try treasure chests in Cyrodiil and IC as well. Many Cyrodiil delves have fast respawns on chests and with the "glowy" chest passive, they can be fairly easy to spot. I received 2 of my 3 Heartland from chests in Cyrodiil delves.

I just gave up and went back to Coldharbour. At least that drop-rate was conducive to leveling these skill lines before the next century arrives.
I finally maxed-out on my main late this afternoon, and I got my Brazier of Frozen Flame (needed Level 10 to scry) with roughly 36 hours to spare before it expired.

So I'm not stressing the mammoth skull anymore.

I WILL say, however, that the Antiquities grind makes the Psijic skill-line a freaking short cake-walk in comparison.
I won't be putting any of my alts through it.

Was 38 kills for my first one, then another on the very next kill. Now it's been over 100 kills with no lead. And on PC/NA it's rare to see anyone fighting the two southern dragons because of wayshrine distance so I just wait for people to start fighting the northern dragon, and then set my timer upon it's death and port somewhere else to play until it's time to go back to N Elsweyr to kill the northern dragon.

The only other one I'm missing is the one from the daily reward boxes in Vvardenfell and since it's a fugly thing AND I hate Vvard dailies, it will probably be a while before I get it.

The Font of Auriel was also a pain. Really, really wanted it, and had ideas for it and now that I finally have it, it's been tossed down by the river til I'm not angry about all the killing I had to do for it. NOT that I mind farming at all, but nearly 2/3 of mobs in Blackreach drop NOTHING when you kill them so I consider that sort of thing a huuuge waste of my time.

Just an fyi for everyone; I finished all codex entries this past Monday, July 20th....659/659 entries...and there is nothing special that happens....no reward, nothing. Just thought I'd share that information. Took me a total of 56 days (my rng for shock lancers was horrible; kept getting fire or frost)

I finally did get it - but from a Dolmen oddly enough. For some reason the treasure chests i kept opening while killing delve bosses just did not want to give it to me. I probably went through at least 50 of them.

That's the one I'm currently working on and I haven't had much luck either.

The bears that supposedly drop it are pretty rare in Black Reach (though some sites say anything in Black Reach can drop). I've even resorted to the pain of soloing a couple of pulls in the trial on normal since the "trash" there is suppose to drop. Still no luck.

I wish they would just add trials to the activity finder. It would make it a lot easier for casual players if they did.

I did finally get one but it dropped from the bloodknights (the vamp lords who walk around the castle)
However this was after killng them for over two hours

I don't know why people are mentioning the motifs, those are really easy.
Just buy one or two treasure chest maps from a guild vendor for each basegame zone and do them. The lead droprate is really high, often you even get both leads in the same chest.
The price is around 1.5k for each map, so you need to spent ~60k to get all three ancestral motifs, assuming you need 1 map for one lead (which is below average from the limited data I collected)

The most insulting ones are those that can only drop from 2 delve bosses. At least BGs can be considered gameplay.
