Soon New World will be launch. Probably similar as ESO in the beginning, without not too much content compare to now and with many things they will have to fix in the firsts months after release.
What is your point of view guys?
NW doesn't have Elder Scrolls world and lore and I suspect that's what most of the players are here for
NW is greatly lacking in lore. It was originally designed to be PvP but they are considering adding some PvE aspects outside of the current trash mobs but that will be after launch. That also seems to depend on how well the game launches.
So the quantified, maybe a bit imprecise, mostly negative responses are an evidence of general contentment? Consensus works just in one direction, for better or worse.tsaescishoeshiner wrote: »And despite how negative the forums are, I think people are pretty pleased with ESO's combat, horizontal progression, release schedule, and social aspects.

But if the game is fun, has good performance and they introduce more content, do you think it can bring ESO down?
ESO biggest problem in my opinion is the performance, loading screens and then all the others things like balance problems, animation canceling where you can execute many skills in a short period of time, outputting in pvp so much damage that is impossible to react or know from where it comes, poor pvp attention and etc.
In my opinion if New World success where ESO failed over all these years, they may lose a big % of players.

https://youtu.be/tBe_awgMMCoI remember the bad reviews ESO got when they released the game, the videos in internet were very unfair and many of the videos were just intentionally offensive just to get attention. For this reason I believe is always important to don't be natural negative and always try to be objective.

I'd be more worried about its future once TES6 has arrived than any new MMO actually. Thing is, it really is the best console MMO at the moment.

At this time, I don't expect that TES 6 will drive me from ESO. I play Skyrim and Fallout 4 along side ESO, today. If TES 6 even has a glimmer of "Fallout 76 disease", I may wait to buy it until it is significantly discounted on Steam.

When ESO launched on PC it was a mess. Crashes, bots, broken quests, and missing items.
I used to see hundreds of these red boxes a day.

Last time saw such red box was on February 2014 beta. Never saw them since and I play from the pre-release weekend onwards over 5 years now. And back then was playing over 30h per week the first few months exploring every single metre of the game.
