It appears that the concept/goal for standards is there, but they do whatever they want and don't hold themselves to standards. Sometimes they just made stuff up:

This ability no longer grants Major Endurance.
Major Expedition now lasts 6 seconds, up from 4 seconds. Note this ability is now considered a “rule breaker”, since it breaks the paradigm of Major Expedition lasting 4 seconds.

Also: I'm salty that Flurry is a "channeled direct damage attack" the exact same as jabs, but combat text for Flurry is orange (you know, for DOTs) whereas the text for jabs is white (for direct damage). Spent considerable time like an idiot absolutely confused about that point.
