Id like to see Maelstrom Arena final MA Weapon loot tables favor the setup we are currently using to defeat the content.
Have run VetMA dozens of times trying to farm the fire staff for my main toon. All i ever needed from it was the MA Inferno staff. My main character, who i beat MA with, is a Magplar using Lightning front bar and Fire back bar. Yet all i get are craptastic Frost/Restos and of course stamina weapons. WHY does ZOS insist on spamming us with worthless drops for BoP items gained only from solo content? After DOZENS of completions, i have never once received a Lightning or Inferno staff.
This is a common problem Ive seen posted in zone and guild chat often for years now, where people have been farming MA for days weeks months over and over again just to get shafted on the drops time after time. I understand you want to make the content challenging and give us reason to play it but the loot tables obviously ARE NOT purely random, they actually seem to favor NOT letting you get the best drops. Being that this is solo content and the final loot is Bind on Pickup if you helped us out a bit with the loot balancing youd have a much happier player base who are motivated to tackle this content knowing there is a fair chance at getting the rewards you desire.
My suggestion is to please implement an MA loot system that takes into consideration the players current setup for the MA weapon drop. STOP spamming stamina weapons for Magicka users and vice versa. If the current character is Magicka, the loot table should favor staffs. If primarily Stamina, favor stamina weapons. And even more specifically maybe weight the drops even further to favor what is currently equipped so you arent spamming Frost staffs to Fire dps. That kind of system would ENCOURAGE players wanting a specific weapon type to USE THAT WEAPON TYPE. And such a system would also encourage those many players who HAVE NOT beaten MA to take a more serious approach to it knowing they can achieve their goals without having to run it 97 times in a row. ✭✭✭I agree with you that the RNG is horrible but a token system would be better. I for example have a character specifically tuned for vMA and it would not be fun to have to have a vMA setup for all different characters to have a chance at the appropriate drops.4 -

Well I know what you are feeling .. some people drop it after 1 run ... Was a bit flustrated when going every day for around half a year didnt see fire staff (seen lightning twice).
More to this I could build a house with bows if they were able to be placed in housing editor ...
or rng was broken i just my luck ..
after getting fire staff till now didnt went back to this arena ..
.. now it begins back (looking for perfect) .. no, not bow1 -

You can farm nMA for destruction staff, the perfected version is nearly the same with nonperfected one.0

make it to where you can state you are looking for a staff, a bow, or a melee weapon in the beginning. then get a staff, a boww or a melee weapon at the end.
something along those lines would make the vma farm at least somewhat enjoyable instead of farming and getting 15 s/s combos back to back when you needed a staff or a bow :P0
