I don't know what I expected given this game's, at best, dubious track record but this takes the cake, and I am an ESO+ member who has been playing the game on and off since the original launch! The Greymore launch has been the gaming equivalent of launching a brand new ship from harbor for the first time only to sink it after you break the champagne bottle over the hull. Truly embarrassing.
Servers down all day then I finally tried to log in again just now and there is a 30 minute queue with a timer that doesn't update. And I came onto the forums just to see everyone else is experiencing the same sh*tshow. I've never canceled a subscription to a game I play just because I am fortunate enough not to have to worry about such a relatively minor monthly expense and because it's nice to know my recurring support is helping a game I enjoy stay up and running but I am honestly temped to do it now just as a matter of principle.3 -
Prrasha✭✭✭And I'm sure if you let it sit at character select for ~2 minutes, you get booted back to the login screen to do it again. So you have to sit there and stare at the queue message.
Beyond ridiculous.

NightSquirrel✭✭✭It's funny because I was on my way to alliance change and get psijic line on a character which would have been a solid chunk of change, but the 38 minute queue gave me 38 minutes to think about that choice. Decided I could live without the alliance swap and psijic unlock 1 -

Given that i got in an hour or two earlier, but then made the mistake of trying to port to Ttideholm for my dragon guard chest and got stuck in an infinite loading screen, so eventually closed the game, I have to say, this is not an encouraging start, even by modern day Game standards.
Ah well our Public libraries are finally open again and I was able to get some new library books so time to indulge in another form of escapism.

In response to the recent long loading screens and other related issues that have been occurring on the PC NA megaserver, we will be enabling a temporary login queue momentarily to limit the number of players on the server at once. Note that anyone who is currently logged in will not be kicked out.
Thanks for your patience, and we'll let you know when we have an update."
So what is temporary? My timer is going up instead of down!
Yea, temporary. Like they "temporarily" experimented with solo only queue for BG's...
I have played since beta and have never ever had a queue for PC/NA. I am in IT and generally have tons of patience for companies experiencing technical difficulties but my cynicism is pretty high right now.
Sure feels like the balancing being done is to make the NA server as bad as the EU one instead of fixing them.

TheEbonFlowSoul ShrivenThis is very frustrating. I have seen queues like this before i other games, but i really didn't expect it for this release. Skyrim is a HUGELY popular game, i would think they would have known to prepare for the influx of people coming just to play the ESO version. [snip] I have spent so much money on this game, and i know many other people have too. They can not be stuck on a tight budget that would cause them to need to cut corners in ways that would create these kind of problems. They were working on this for a while before they announced it and we waited for a while after. They had plenty of time to prepare for this.

Did ZOS not anticipate an increase in the number of players with the release of a new Chapter? Judging by the wait times, there is no lack of support for ESO. Couldn't they at least pretend to know what they are doing, this being the FOURTH chapter they have released?
With this morning's extended down time at release, due to a bug that is beyond embarrassing for any development team with any self-respect, much less one belonging to an MMO of this caliber, and now this ridiculous wait time for loyal fans who have paid and waited patiently to get a glimpse of this new chapter.
Shame on you, ZOS!
