    What mistakes of the past? Different MMOs are produced by different developers, and they don't share their expertise with competitors. They're businesses not charities.

    You have got to admire the community team/moderators.

    They aren't going to lower themselves to talking to the community and they are sticking to their guns and not engaging us in anyway.

    Begs the question why you would work in a job that is mostly about dealing with the community. But good on them for resolutely ignoring requests for any new information or infact any communication to show that everyone haven't switched off the lights and gone home.

    Personally I feel confident in interpreting no news/update as 'We're still working on it and have no updates to tell you yet' rather than 'We're all gone home and left you all hanging Muahahaha'. When there is something new to tell I'm sure they will tell us. I don't need regular 'No news yet' updates, what a waste of time.

    I don't need meaningless updates that tell me no new info - happy to assume they are still busy - they will be wanting the servers up as desperately as we all do too, believe it or not.

    Ah, that's probably not an issue of attitude, but due to them not having the time for it because they've been roped in to get the login server fixed. Or somethin...

    And that would explain why it always goes wrong. Side note though , which company goes in completely blind when using new to them technology? I hope none cause than the world would collapse. In our company , if something new is introduced , and there is a lack of internal experience ,an external company with the right experience is hired to assist and advice. If not well again that would explain why there are always issues.

    As far as communication goes though , you don't need the experience , just globally used guidelines which are used for decades already except by companies that run MMOs.
