I think some people never play WoW / AoC / LoTR / SWTOR, they had all problems at the start. Played the most MMO's from every beta exept LoTR. They all had there problems in the beginning.
Give ESO a chance, they still do a great job, i know some do not agree but for ESO sake give them a chance!

Valerien✭✭✭Interestingly for all the people working out what the financial value of the downtime is, it would be relatively inexpensive in that case for everyone effected to be granted a free day.
Now obviously a free day when you might be at work is a lot less useful than prime time on a saturday evening on a bank holiday weekend. But saying the money is insignificant cuts both ways. Personally I couldn't care less about the money its the inconvenience of when the servers are down, for the length of time they are down for and the lack of any communication.
As with most things in life if you pay for a service or a good you expect it to be delivered. Its more about that than it is about wanting a fraction of the purchase price back.1 -

I had one worse launch in my life and that was SOTS II (not MMO tought)
If you want to talk bad, the first two MMOs of Funcom where a hell , Anarchy Online and the Conan one. Others where smooth compared to that one , but i still find that smooth unacceptable with a lot of room for improvement.

I played in SWTOR and remember about their maintenance. But when game only start they return at last 1 day to everyone if server maintenance was unplanned. And SWTOR surely didnt have so many bugged quest in game.

I know I'd want them to fix it, and to do a proper job -it takes as long as it takes. I wouldn't expect them to just turn it off and on again, say it seems fine and give it back.
Even new cars sometimes develop faults unforeseen when they left the factory.
Maybe it just helps me be fine with all this as I have experience in the games industry esp with MMOs, so I can imagine what is going on at HQ right now. There will be some poor guys and gals dragged from their families back to the office or getting online (on Easter Saturday) to find a problem in bits of code they probably didn't write - which will be like looking for a needle in a haystack. And that's just assuming this isn't some kind of DOS or similar, in which case no-one could have predicted this or how long it will take to fix.
Personally I signed up for ESO and early access with my eyes wide open - I expected down-times - I hoped they wouldn't be too bad, but I expected them, bad or good. If someone feels strongly (and negatively) about down-times, then they probably shouldn't play an MMO from launch. Down-times WILL happen, and lots of them more likely than not. No, in an ideal world they wouldn't, but we don't live in an ideal world.
On a lighter note, this is an Elder Scrolls game - it wouldn't be right if it wasn't full of bugs

nikolaosdeliseb17_ESOSoul ShrivenAs this is the most anticipated MMO of the last 4-5 years, there is a certain "logical" amount of anger and frustration among players.Most experienced and mature players do know that almost every new release can be buggy( the only one i remember being smooth enough was Lotro 7 years ago).So kudos for trying to fix things.HOWEVER:
EU server has been buggy atleast for the last 2 days( locked achievements,quests not progresing,loading screens,inaccessible guild bank).They knew those,yet instead of bringing down the server at lets say,6-7 am CET,they let it live,and bring it down during prime time-and not for the first time.Noone-atleast very few would complain.
No warnings-simply locked out of the game.
No real GMs.We feel like we talk to a chip.
EU server should be EU based-period.
