Curious if any forum goers liked any changes this PTS?

I’m not going to make a poll. However, I’m genuinely wondering if anyone liked any specific changes and what was your reasoning for that, also.

If not, why not?

For me, I appreciated a few QoL changes and a few of the more minor adjustments, but would rather them revert everything and try again, but better, in about 3 months.

Anyways, WBU all?

I liked the initial version of Roaring Opportunist. And I like the 40% movementspeed ring.

I like that one a lot too. Has a lot of potential for mat farming with about an equivalent time of farming the item itself.

The game pad mode keeps getting better and better. It’s near perfect on the pts. This might not sound like much, but it’s the only reason I came back to playing PC.

    The zone is cool.

I liked that they fixed Light Armor passives affecting pets. Not impressed at all with any of the new sets, mythics, or changes to old sets though.

TBH I gave up caring when it became clear that the Devs weren't listening or were just ignoring the Vampire feedback.

I'm one of the few on this forum that is positive to the new vampire change. How you actually have to build for a vampire and not just for the super boring passives. I'm mostly a pvp player and I'm excited to try out several vampire magicka melee builds I have in mind.

As someone who has dueled over a hundred times on the PTS with the new vampires changes, you're not going to enjoy most of the skills. They all have their uses but their new play style is probably the least vampiric thing imaginable. You're not siphoning health from people but instead doing the typical Hollywood blood magic trope of hurting yourself to hurt your foe. If there is one thing I can say about it is you're going to be spending way too much time managing your health to be able to deal reasonable damage, while also not getting trapped in execution range. You might be able to pull it off but I personally don't find it all that fun or rewarding.

    Furnishings:

Moderately reduced the chance of acquiring paintings from treasure chests. However, when acquiring a painting from a treasure chest in an area that has its own paintings, you now always get a painting specific to that area.

This makes it much easier to acquire region-specific paintings, even with the overall reduction in the drop rate of paintings.

I liked the new zone and the movement speed ring. In general I like the Vampire updates. I liked that they for the most part left classes alone and didn't ruin anything further.

I didn't like the monster set nerfs, Antiquities system, or the changes to the VAS staff.

    Playing since beta...

+ I like many things, fixes to passives working for pets, some general fixes and QoL stuff.

+ I like the Mythic items and the hunt for them, the builds i can make with those will be fun.

+ Generally liking the WW changes, Pack leader with Minor Courage is a fun & cool addition.

+ liking a lot of the Itemization changes, many monster sets 1p Health bonus replaced with something else was nice.

+ New zone and new "stuff" in general is cool, and i like it and looks great.

    - Vampire feels like it will need some adjustments when next DLC update comes at fall when ZOS sees most just cures their Vampire away since the new Kiss-Curse model of it has way more Curse than it has any Kisses going on.. so to say.

But even on Vampire i like some things, can make some imaginative combos.. and that it is just not a passive bonus line for most to squeeze in some percents of extra regen. But, for those who not using it for anything than RP looks, that 3% more costing skills if you do trials and stuff.. will propably make you cure it away, so.. yeah, revamping the vampire seems to mean pushing more people away from playing it. Other than playing some Goliath form #2 with it at PVP. Vampire needs work still, sadly we are out of time this time.

But yes, i actually like a lot of PTS changes, was hoping some more (certain thingies..) and will buy Greymoor like today or tomorrow. Yeah, unlike some who declare loudly that they not gonna buy it - i am declaring i shall buy!

Also, having not much at all class skill changes this time was a good and welcomed break from those, we had already a year and a half of that rollercoaster, so this felt good this time. Heh, funny that such can be a positive thing but for sure it is.

So yeah, lots of good things coming at Greymoor imo and ZOS gonna get my shiny currency transferred to their account.

    Absolutely not.

On a positive note, much needed Werewolf buffs came out. However, these buffs are years too late, and I don't see why it took so long to come up with them, and at such a weird time.

I am interested in perhaps 1 or 2 mythic items out of the whole antiquities addition, but if the past is any indication, any fun to be had with these new items will soon be nerfed into blandness again by Jyggalag's oppressive "standardization."

There's just zero entertainment in the current vision for the game. Nothing is unique. Similar numbers, recycled animations, slightly modified skins, and excessive monetization. Player's time and achievements are undermined with each patch. etc.

I'm guessing you're referring to changes specifically made due to feedback received from the forums, so changes that went up in 6.0.0, as well as WIP stuff like animations/visuals/sounds that happened to be finished during the PTS cycle don't qualify.
...I guess the toning down of Vampire drawbacks was nice and made it less punishing to slot non-Vampire skills on your bars. Too bad it was accompanied by a nerf to Vampire ability cost reductions, which also made certain abilities (looking at you, Scion) not terribly attractive, especially at lower stages.
I can also appreciate the move to tone down Blood Frenzy. Now, it was a massive overreaction that took the ability from "I'll take Vamp just for this and keep it up 100% of the time always" to fringe dummy hump cases (and even then you'd have to think long and hard about slotting it), but at least ZOS saw the feedback and reacted to it.
I've unearthed the Legendary Antiquity of Mêlée Island and all I got was this stupid T-shirt!

Is IP asking if we like the changes Zos made since this PTS cycle started or if we like the changes we can expect to see when this goes live?

I think Zos has made some changes for the better as they updated the initial changes introduced on the PTS. Even then I do like some changes they made from the start that are expected to go live. That does not mean I like all the changes or the overall package of changes. Mostly because Zos has never been able to make up their mind.

New blackrose dualwield and vampires getting reduced incoming damage at 100% health meaning there is already 15% damage reduction at 50% health where the previous undead only started. This will come at the price of high impact on sustain meaning no more NMA.

Bloodthirsty will buff my Warden bear. Besides that....

There’s a few things that are nice but there is an an overwhelming amount of bad changes I do not look forward to.

In terms of my own playstyle, my main character Mag Sorc is actually losing most of his playstyles. My primary 3 playstyles were a Shock Mage build which uses a Master Shock Staff (very strong AoE+ the only Shock spammable), an Asylum build using an Asylum Inferno Staff with Force Shock, and a Mother’s Sorrow frontbar build.

Both the Asylum Staff and Shock Mage Master Staff builds are getting 100% trashed next patch. Asylum staff is going to be totally deleted from all builds in the game. Master Staff is drastically changing in functionality to do something I did not gold it out for. Also Ilambris will be no longer synergize with Sorcerers since procs can no longer layer - it is a DPS loss to get Shock procs.

Hard to look forward to next patch when the builds that were most fun for me are being deleted.

    There is good.
    There is bad.

But at least there is content.

Played a game where the biggest raid update was reskinned "New difficulty" modes for older raids. A whopping 3 total raid mobs in a game probably 6-7 years old. It got quite tiring seeing the same model over and over. Even with "Revamped difficulty" it doesn't get that same feeling of entirely new scripts, because you can still taste the previous mode in the new difficulty version.

Really happy about the changes to some of the monster helms, nerien'eth, maw of the infernal and ilambris are stand outs.

Also very happy to see perfected versions of maelstrom / master weapons and that asylum perfected will be easier to get (i already have perfected asylum gear before anyone gets *** at me wanting easy drops or something)

I'm happy that antiquities are being added, even if i'm not really thrilled about any of the 1pc items personally.

Always happy to see a new trial.

As a pet sorc main there are a bunch of fixes to pets i'm happy about.

There are a lot of things to be happy about this update. There are also a lot of missed opportunities, like the new trial sets and some PvE focused mythic items, but honestly the game will be better than live after this update.

I love vampire changes. Previously it was some no-brain status where you have large unfair advantage over non-fire damage specs, while high-dps magDK were able to nuke you... now you either go specialized vampire build, or stop being vampire at all.

I dislike monster helm nerfs, ZOS should've buff other monsters sets instead of nerfing all those which are viable and popular.
