Come on people... If there really was a hacker attack (as some are speculating, and it isn't completely unlikely) it _will_ take quite som time to clean up, and make sure accounts weren't compromised etc

What kind of Evil Trickery is this?! Someone cast Dispel on the MegaServer!!!
The picture on the wall is chaotic.
I don't want to look at it, but when I do,
I cannot speak because of the confusion in my head!

The sky is falling, the sky is falling! Next people will be asking for a refund of there 50c or 30p!

I've heard tell it's an algorithm like program in effect checking user accounts for all the hack/duping activity. It's needed to be done offline. So you hotshots thinking you're clever, if this program works:

    Bye, bye son.

    Ta ta for now.

    Greetings!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.

Unfortunately, at the moment we do not provide any compensation for server outages. Should this change in the future, we will inform everyone affected by such a decision.
We understand that experiencing downtime while trying to play the game may be frustrating, especially for players that have difficulties fitting some game time into their already busy schedule. However, server maintenance procedures are a very important aspect in achieving our goal of ensuring good server and game performance.
We want to thank you for your interest, and for the great enthusiasm you have shown about the game. We really appreciate any insights and suggestions you can share with us, as it is very helpful in our quest of making the game the best possible experience for everyone.
Tamriel's safety depends upon you adventurers! See you in the game!Thank you for your continued interest and support!

Yeah and we all are going to pay when Angry Joe gets wind of it! I bet Zenimax shares just plunged at the mere thought of all those 50 cents that they owe us all in compensation for server maintence!

Seriously people... Is it that hard? The login servers crashed (possibly DDoS'ing?) - that isn't exactly something they can give 15 minutes notice of...

I used to be a fanboy like you, but then I took a prime-time maintenance in my game (like many times).

same here , this game is clearly not ready for launch, much as I enjoy it (when it works) my sub will not be renewed if they don't get their act together by months end.

I took Blizzard two months to get World of Warcraft running stable / playable. I guess this means you can cancel your sub now because I can promise you, 1 month is not enough to get all these problems solved - imagining otherwise is wishful thinking on your part.

I used to be a fanboy like you, but then I took almost no feedback from Zenimax Online.

"but then I took a brain in my head"...... wait what?

    lol, that's the best bit

Yeah like flick the switch that transfers us all to the NA server. It only takes me a minute to transfer 1GB, how hard can it be! I mean even I know that you have computers that are 10 years in front of my 386, you know like the ones the NSA use!

In 13 years of MMO gaming, I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO BAD LAUNCH!

Either you havn't been on many launches or you have a pretty bad memory :)

The biggest MMO todate had a launch that was way way way worse than this. Several others have had almost as bad service and gameplay.

The last couple of years has been promising, there is less and less of problems at launch and the month after.

There is a reason why many MMO veterans expect a disaster on launch day

well i cant recall a single day ive played this game without some sort of issue be it unexpected errors or the crashes in cydrodill to progress stoppers.Love the game dont get me wrong but this has to be the worst launch ever for a mmo i mean id rather sit in a q or play on the imaginary overflow server then the crap were geting at the mo.With another mmo due to release in june i can see alot of people jumping ship as things stand.Oh and lets not forget the lack of gms and support.

I am defenatly a MMO veteran, and i am every time surprised at the poor quality of service , servers and bugs. Why? Well you should expect after so many MMOs one should be able to pull off a decent launch learning from the mistakes in the past no? Always looks like it are people just returning from school that do these kind of jobs.

The really disappointing thing about all of this is the lack of communication from ZOS. An hourly update on the server status page wouldn't hurt at all...
