do know its a MMO there are surten thing one can do in a Sigle player game that one can not do in an MP or MMO.
but I like an watered down skyrim MMO then a other copie and pasted WoW

It honestly feels like Zenimax went a step backward rather than going forward.

in my opinion commbat is 54267277 100% better then in skyrim or Oblivion

i HATED that when i was a spell caster i constatly needed to switch spells in a menu or a macro ALL the time while you were having 600 different ones LOL....

the ONLY thing in this game is worse then in the other tes games are the Maps

there is no real freedom but i still enjoying it more then the other tes games.

OP you are another one who cant see difference between MMO and SPRPG, and that some compromises were required to make this game work. So yes, you cant move or pick every plate, recollect arrows from dead bodies and one shoot mobs from stealth. It is not a ''poor version of...''. It is called balance. Do you know how massive and complicated game code will be to allow above things? Amount of data to track arrows etc? There are no servers in world which could handle that. So choice is simple, play MMO as it is, as they not going to change it, or play SPRPG and have it all.

I have been a fan of the series since I got my Xbox pre-packaged with Morrowind and spent over 500 hours playing it. But even with up to Skyrim, there were no boss fights that took planning and time and devotion. Vivec was by far the hardest fight in any Elder Scrolls game (my opinion) and that was just because of the RNG nature of the hit/miss combat system.

I was looking forward to maybe finally seeing some exaggerated combat, something that requires me thinking ahead of having enough pots and the best gear. Nothing really challenged me to the point that I needed help to finish it (save for dungeons) and it was kind of disappointing.

That being said, still love the game and have high hopes that the Adventure Zone will start to introduce interesting combat scenarios.

To be fair, some people have only played Skyrim.

Mention Arena to some people claiming to be Elder Scrolls fans and marvel at the confusion on their faces.

I think people are being to hard on the game. This just launched and you need to take into consideration the 1,000's of man hours that were put into this game. I am sure expansions will come. I was able to go wherever I wanted on the map once I left Kenarthis Roost. By level 16 I had found all of the Reapers March wayshrines. I It was difficult and I died many times but hey I still did it. I honestly think people were expecting far more than they should have out of ESO. As far as that goes I believe Bethesda and ZOS has done a marvelous at bringing Tamriel to the web. The armor sets in ESO are far nicer than the vanilla Skyrim, Oblivion, or Morrowind Armors. Instead of complaining take the time to consider the effort that went into ESO when you are out adventuring. Take notice of all of the beautiful landscapes they made for us and all of the fun questlines they have given us to start out with.

I dislike battlespire it was fun but I never got in to it that much. but yes most people I know have only played from Morrowind up to Skyrim and Skyrim did feel a little lacking I liked it but Morrowind was in my oppinion a much bigger game. it took me allot longer in morrowind to travel from the top of the map to go to the most bottom part. same as Oblivion the quests there where better layed out if you ask me so each game is different in its own rights and better and worse too. each one adding new stuff and taking other things.

Imo, ESO is very close to the basic experience I got in Skyrim. Yes, it's missing things like housing. But the skills system, whilst being not an exactly copy of Skyrims, is pretty close. Closer than I expected it to be.

There's a couple of things that must be kept in mind when comparing Skyrim to ESO....

1) Not all Skyrim's features / mechanics will work in an MMO game. For instance, world changing story changes. That is why the "phasing" tech is being used. The moment you put more than one player in a game....that's when the design has to changed to accommodate different "states" for each player (e.g. one has done a quest where a town is burned down...the other hasn't).

2) This is an MMO. Not a single player game. The reason why I mention this is that what we are seeing now isn't necessarily the full entirety of what the devs are planning. For instance, some of the "features" that may have been mentioned in the forums during beta may actually appear further down the line. Sometimes at no extra cost because the sub covers the development of them. Why aren't they in now? One word: time. Often some features often get "culled" from launch because there just isn't enough time to develop them prior to release.

Just note that certain "features" are specifically mentioned as not being included at launch (e.g. housing thieves guild, dark brotherhood, etc, etc). And we know that some ARE coming.

As for the graphics, I think people are looking back on skyrim with rose tinted glasses. Check it again guys. It was good for when it launched, but I think you'll find it's not as good as you remember in comparison to ESO.

I think a lot of Elder Scrolls fans are feeling with this what some of us Warhammer fans felt with Age of Reckoning....

People expected more..... (although Age of Reckoning was a flop so us Warhammer fans have a right to be annoyed with that).

You probably won't get the same feeling with an MMO than you do the single player Elder Scrolls games.

I do feel ESO is too barebones stripped down compared to any MMORPG out there even the single player games, I do hope they add more 'OPTIONAL' features for people otherwise I don't see how they plan on lasting P2P with so much less features wise, they got the art, quests, voice acting, worlds, dungeons....well, not the public dungeons, not too much effort went into those because 90% of them have all the same layouts (copy/paste?) but with different mobs.

But everything else they got down correctly, all that's great but we're missing way too many optional features for a P2P MMO, I don't think there's enough of those hardcore immersion type people that will be able to support and keep the P2P model going.

I think they need to try to appease to the MMO crowd too as in giving us options otherwise why play a stripped down P2P MMO?

Give us optional chat bubbles, if it ruins your precious immersion then disable them because they don't ruin my immersion, maybe let us see player names so everybody doesn't look like mindless NPCs running around, PvP whiners say it's bad for PvP so have it forced disabled in PvP. Give us duels, have an option in settings to block duels = more options.

Really, the more optional features the better and greater the game will be, the less the worst...it's common sense, if people deny that then they're wrong, there is nothing wrong with having options, people shouldn't be forced to play one way to appease a small crowd of people.

I really want this game to succeed and be the next big MMO, I'm pretty dedicated to the game, I bought another account just for storage use only...if that's not dedication then I don't know what is but it will all be a waste if they plan on not adding anymore optional features, we don't know if they will or not but seeing a Dev say "We don't have plans for chat bubbles" makes me think they won't.

I need these OPTIONAL features, I love these features and I miss these features...if I can't have them here then I guess I will have to move to another game that does. I'll still give it some time, keep leveling my main and alts, listen to the Dev's communicating and see how it goes in the next month but if there's no communication about these optional features by then, then I guess I will start packing up.

Yes i like skyrim more than ESO, mostly because I can mod skyrim to get the looks I want. Armor, hair, skin, tattoos, weapons it's like a candy store with endless possibility's.

As an MMO the game is totally more structured than Skyrim, have to go here if your this level go there for the next level. And besides where my chance to kill the dragons, *cry*

sales dont determine whether a game is good or not. Your expectations therefore are farfetched mate.
