I consider hate whispers to be some kind of trophy, a proof of your skill, I'm actually happy when I get one xD
I do love to send whispers to my opponents sometimes, but they're always positive. I've had nice chats with people who just obliterated me. I remember back to IC release, someone actually gave me pieces of advice and recommended me a build, for the first time. I still get some tips here and there sinceIf they beat me, they must be doing something good, so I probably have something to learn from them.

What I struggle to deal with is the hate whispers I get just for PVPing.
None of my builds are trolly, everything I play is max stat based with no proc sets.
I also do not play a nightblade or a magsorcI mainly PVP on my magdk or stamcro(which I know is meta at the moment).
I wish I was the kind of person that could shrug off the aggression I get just for playing well, but it really bothers me.
Normally I just ignore someone after being hate whispered, but it legitimately puts me off playing sometimes.
Recently I am getting hate whispered once a day which is a massive increase.
I don't know if it is because people have been playing all day and are frustrated by the time i finish work and can jump on and play.
It certainly seems to me though it has increased from being occasional to frequent.
What I think would be good is if during PVP the other team/faction couldn't whisper you, with maybe a cooldown after a BG.
This would allow people the opportunity to chill out and reconsider their transgressions.
Maybe this could be an option to switch on and off, but regardless I would rather not receive abusive messages just for playing the game as intended.
I know you can set yourself to offline mode, but this also eliminates friends from whispering you.
I used to play WOW probably 10 years a go now and it was impossible for people to send you private messages from the opposite faction, so this was never an issue.
Perhaps it is just me, but regardless I would love to hear people's thoughts on this?

I hear this, but I don't do PVP because I enjoy being toxic and tea bagging people(which I never do).
Genuinely enjoy competing directly against other humans. I have 2 guilds I get a lot of whispers from so setting myself offline isn't really an option for me.

So they would send:
**** you right in the **** ***.
But you would see:
Your breath is like a gentle summer breeze that fills me with joy and creates happiness waves throughout the community.
The best way to deal with hate whispers (apart from ignoring, but I don't have the self control) is to reply in a manner that you would to your translated example above -
"Thanks so much, glad you are a fan"
"You're a star, thanks SO much for your message"
That type of stuff XD.
