Your wish was granted. It was "revamped". Craglorn was gutted and is no longer "group centered". Outside of maybe a few world bosses and group mini dungeon quests - the zone is easy to solo. But your post does an excellent job at showing just how effective this "revamp" was and why it doesn't matter how much the developers nerf the content to appeal to the bottom line there will always be players who still find it too difficult.
This is why we need Normal and Veteran zones. That way players looking for a challenge can find one and those who prefer things to be easier can stick to Normal. There is no effective "middle ground" that is going to appeal to everyone to be found here.
