New vampire lord/scion form looks kinda.....trash?

    I'm sure it will be up to the standard of the Nocturnal model from Summerset...
    So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

    Fair enough but if there were major rework it would be irresponsible to let essentially misleading visuals be released. What if people actually LIKED the model and it got radically changed? Refunds all around?

    Well, then it would be those people's faults for liking a bad alpha design over the final product, tbh. It isn't misleading visuals either since on every video it has "WORK IN PROGRESS. MAY NOT BE FINAL PRODUCT" plastered everywhere.

    I also feel like there are solid amounts of both those that dislike it and those that like it (for some reason). But the thing here is that those that dislike it already will *always* dislike it, however, if they were to change it visually and make it less wack then some people that like how it currently looks might like the new look. Therefore making more people happy.

    I'd be really surprised if this hits PTS in this state though. Like, genuinely shocked.

    I genuinely do not think they could of made the transformation worse. It's not an actual transformation. It doesn't add anything onto your skills. It's literally just there as a cosmetic thing. One of which uses the exact same animation of current batswarm.

    Yes. I was expecting something the same. At the very least a more unique ability over just a re-skin that looks awful.... Let's hope for a better PTS version. We'll know in a couple of weeks.

    Also, as someone mentioned, why does the form carry weapons/shields - aren't Vamp Lords so powerful that they can just rely on their magic/claws?

    Well, technically we aren't exactly vampire lords, but the goofy thing here is that in the pre-pts preview you can see that regardless, our form has LONG claws. It looks like it'd hurt to even wield a weapon lol....

    I thought I was the only one to see that. I'm sooo glad I'm not alone. I thought I was crazy. The entire animation looks ridiculous. Its awkward and looks like a very bad jigsaw puzzle. The wings are not fluid and look like cardboard cutouts super glued on the back. It looks absolutely horrible. This a definite reskin of Necro Colossus ulti for sure.

    Honestly, I noticed right away it was just a re-skinned Bone Colossus, it has the same frame and does basically the same thing at base, its very under whelming. especially when you see that raid boss. But its pretty much what I expected, could have been way worse. The wings on it's bat morph look super dumb as they have it now, though.

    It's another necro ult for non necros. I see a pattern in this. First just about every unique Nightblade ability gets an equivalent in other skill lines, now the necro ult gets a "non necromancer's version". Ok, I AM fine with it. I really am. And I'm not being sarcastic.

    I'm fine with people loving the new expanded vampire thing, I might try it out too. But, I'm not fine with any extreme changes to the passives. I mean, yeah sure they can lower the mitigation and what not, if they make the mistform a toggle (it would make sense), but why are they gonna remove the Supernatural Recovery thing?
    So many people ONLY have vampire on their characters for recovery, many of them have even PAID real money for it, for recovery and nothing else. Now it's going away? Why? Because ZOS wants to mess with heavy/light attack changes too, and lock us even further into playing the game exactly like they want?

    If they for once could go through with this, and make it a decision for us who have had (for example) vampire characters for years, for the passives and nothing else - a decision between basically not minding/bothering with the changes at all (and just play more or less like we already do as vampires), and those who want to play as fully fledged vampires. It would be great.

    Vamp could be nearly a class on it's own (given the 20% cost increase on non-vamp abilities, that's more or less a must), which could and probably will be loads of fun. But, it wouldn't be anything but fair and honest, if we who already have several vampires did NOT need to have the condition cured, just because of this... I'm so sick and tired of the extreme changes all the time, can it please just stop?

    It doesn't look like the bone Colossus to me... It is big yes. Does it fulfill a similar function? of course it does it is an ultimate that makes you bigger and stronger.

    I think they have done a good job on this if I'm honest. If you want to be a vampire now you will basically have to fully build for it. Rather than utilising it for one or two passives. It will definetly take some adjusting, but I like the direction they have taken it.

    The ultimate I always assumed it would make you bigger and more powerful and it looks like they have shown it to be in the trailers. I don't feel they can be held accountable for any expectations created on an individual basis.

    At this point if my skills fire I will be happy with anything 😂👍

Like, they can use the bone colossus frame all they want, but could they let us slash at people with vampire claws? No unique animations to make it stand out some from Bone Colossus? The way they did it feels lazy. Like I said, it could have been worse, I just wasn't wowed by it.

    Honestly I kinda like the overall direction they took with the vampire skill line, it seems to me they are listening to feedback but yeah the Scion Form doesn't look that great IMO. Needs to be more bat like and less demonic and the horns need to be removed IMO considering this vampire strain isn't given to us by Molag otherwise I could understand the horns and the demonic look.

    To be fair the reason they removed super natural recovery is to PREVENT people from just taking the skill line for the passives. They mentioned this was their whole goal back when it was revealed.

    this is pretty much it @relentless_turnip. It's a blatant re skin. I agree everything else about the class looks neat, but come on, the R looks horrible and lacks all creativity.

    Honestly it looks like a blend of a reskin from Bone Goliath and a deformed Xivilai with brooding shoulder pads. Hoping that it's not final, but let's face it--it's probably final.

    One thing I will add tho if they used the Giant Bat Model instead and gave it some robes sorta like Skyrim Dragon Priests I think it would have looked pretty dope for a transformation and with the smaller bats flying around you.

    They already have the giant bat model. They can pretty much rework it a a bit and give it red and black paint aesthetic and they would be good in my books than the current copy paste model from Necro.

    Don't really care. I'm more concerned about how things work rather than aesthetics. If I did worry about that stuff I probably would have brought up how Werewolves look like some kind of rat king.

    I was saying literally all it is one of the morphs is the Necromancer Ravenous Goliath but instead of a pool of magic swirling around you, they just made it into the bats swarming around you.

    Well I really prefer Skyrim dawn guard vampire form because its possible as necro's bone titan ult and at least maybe it will be alternative way to play vampire lord as stam version.
    Anyway current duration is too short and the remake skill line didn't make big difference other than access to invisibility.

    Is it to much to ask for either a permanent Vampire form that say increases the stages or a passive form like currently? An Ult just makes it not so cool in my opinion. It's like the Werewolf form with out the ability to extend it.

    I really hope they have done something about this during the delay of the release.

    Actually, at the moment it's more like Bone Goliath, not even werewolf form.

    As you get nothing really new ability-wise for staying in it and for some reason choose to wield a weapon when you have dagger-sharp claws.... Also you can still use class abilities, cant wait to see huge unholy night creatures casting *holy* templar magic.

    Only deals massive aoe damage for a long time to help my draugrkin build

    Only increases my magicka to a point where my damage will increase by over 15%

    Only heals me from the brink of death up to full


    The blood scion could look like a demonic chicken for all I care. If it is half as useful as they are suggesting, I’ll be the deadliest poultry in all the realms of oblivion.

    In all seriousness, I don’t care that they reskinned goliath. Better to use something that works than start completely from scratch. Shadow vampire demon is badass, but I guess I’m just an edge-lord.
