New vampire lord/scion form looks kinda.....trash?

Is anyone as disappointed by this as I am? Why does the transformation look like you just get a shadow over you?
And wow- no empowering of your abilities or added effects? Why am I using weapons when Im supposedly transformed into this big creature of the night?
I genuinely do not think they could of made the transformation worse. It's not an actual transformation. It doesn't add anything onto your skills. It's literally just there as a cosmetic thing. One of which uses the exact same animation of current batswarm.

No, you don't.
watch the video again.

This is horrendous.
They couldn't even just copy a concept that already exists right. Or improve it. Instead they give us a necro re-skin ult and shadow-y wings and crap AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I DONT WANT TO BE A SHADOW. I Want to be an actual vampire lord.
also love how they just threw the current ult casually into one of the morphs so they dont have to do as much work.

The bat's morph has shadow wings?! other than that it is a complete reskin on both the base and morph.
Watch Nefas video it is clearer than Alcast's.
The point I'm making is there is some truly intolerable issues we should be shouting about at the moment.
This release is a smoke screen to divert focus from these issues.
I am only suggesting we don't lose focus on the problems that are truly game breaking.
I think this is a good thing, though I had very low expectations for it and was pleasantly surprised.0 -

Veteran players have been alienated and disengaged from Overland since One Tamriel, due to the lack of difficulty, and pushed into dungeons and trials; the minority of content in the Elder Scrolls Online. We can't take the repetition anymore, fix Overland engagement for Vet players. I don't even care if it's not combat related anymore, just make Overland engaging again.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 10 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. Make a self debuff mythic. Literally anything at this point.14 -

Hello! When I first saw the preview I also thought the same thing but after some digging I found better videos that show off the look of vampire form and I’m actually really happy on how it looks. The vampire form has a full unique armor and design to it from the skin to the armor. The “shadow” you described it as is only for the wings and I believe that is only bc they would block your point of view so they allow you to see through them but trust me the whole form is not just a shadow. The only thing I would say that bums me out is we don’t get special abilities while in the form, but hey I’m overall happy with everything.Edited by Cameron991 on March 30, 2020 3:03PM3 -

Why not give them the skinny wings vampire lords have? Then our view won't be blocked and they don't need to be a shadow?

Soo OP, how is that just a shadow? It's a complete transformation. One that looks way too much like Skyrim's vampire lord for my taste, but I know that's what a lot of people want.[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!1 -

I suppose it’s all personal preference but I quite like the huge vampire bat wings more than the Skyrim ones. I’m happy they made them that big imo1 -

Paradisius✭✭✭✭I actually dont mind the look, I personally dreaded a carbon copy of the Skyrim Vamp lord, this more dark, shadowy type presence is a different take on it that I actually do enjoy aesthetically, in use however I do agree it behaving similar to necro ult wasn't what I had in mind at all, I was thinking itd more or less augment the vampire abilities to have new animations or effects. But Im personally still going to use it! (That Vamp Stage 5 morph where its stage 4 with no downsides sounds really cool considering the ability cost increase for non vamp abilities as you progress stages)3 -
