There is a slight chance this is an April Fools joke, that is just a giant Xivkyn Dreadguard with wings, if not then I honestly would of preffered the Bat Form ultimate over this, it would of looked more high quality.

    Can agree completely.

I just don't understand why they have big shadow-y wings??? Why not just give us the thin wings like we already know....

Why does the transformation look like you just get a shadow over you?

Not sure I understand this question. The look of your character completely changes. You get wings, horns.. way taller, completely different body type. Completely different facial features. Maybe we're talking about different things.

    No, you don't.

    watch the video again.

You just get the shadow of the creature over your base armor and the majority of it is literally just a shadow. Including the wings.

Lol I looked a hundred times, dude. You are wrong.

Actually it is just a large Xivkyn Dreadguard with Wings, A shadow would of actually been preferable.

Yeah it looks bad, I don't know how they went from this:

    (Which looks great)

To whatever they have now, which has too many effects.

Once more, acting all smug and arrogant for no reason. I didn't beat anyone up for having personal expectations, I just told them what I *thought* we knew and what made the most sense. People are free to think what they want, which I usually made clear despite of if I thought they were wrong or not. If you're talking about me telling people it being a necro-ult reskin would be stupid and bad, then that's different, because it is quite bad. A re-skin of an already existing ultimate is objectively bad design.
And yet the people who are posting that they like the appearance of the Ult, you're acting like they're in the wrong for liking it with the questions you're asking them. You're also wrong about it not changing anything, which has been pointed out a few times. It's an entire transformation, it's not 'just getting a shadow over you'.

I personally think it looks pretty neat, except the wings look more like amorphous blobs than they do wings. They need to fix those to look more like wings and it'll be set.

    Character List [RP and PvE]:
Stands-Against-Death: Argonian Magplar Healer - Crafter

Niralae Elsinal: Altmer Stamsorc DPS - Young Altmer with way too much Magicka
Sarah Lacroix: Breton Magsorc DPS - Fledgling Vampire who drinks too much water
Slondor: Nord Tankblade - TESified verson of Slenderman
Marius Vastino: Imperial <insert role here> - Sarah's apathetic sire who likes to monologue
Delthor Rellenar: Dunmer Magknight DPS - Sarah's ex who's a certified psychopath
Lirawyn Calatare: Altmer Magplar Healer - Traveling performer and bard who's 101% vanilla bean
Gondryn Beldeau: Breton Tankplar - Sarah's Mages Guild mentor and certified badass old person
Gwendolyn Jenelle: Breton Magplar Healer - Friendly healer with a coffee addiction
Soliril Larethian- Altmer Magblade DPS - Blind alchemist who uses animals to see and brews plagues in his spare time
Tevril Rallenar: Dunmer Stamcro DPS - Delthor's "special" younger brother who raises small animals as friends

    It's awesome!

How do you find a re-skin of Necro ult awesome, exactly?

It changes nothing about your character, gives no new abilities, is awkwardly using weapon/class skills.

Genuinely curious, what do you like about it that can't already be given to you with the Necro ult?

I like how awesome it is.
    “Whatever.”

Yeah..... Especially if they keep the literal same blue energy and the awkward shadow wings. It's obvious they just plastered those on there.

Not really, based on what I've seen. As others have said, it's basically just the necro ult with a different skin, and that skin is quite underwhelming currently.

What is worse is the animation into it uses the same blue necromancy magic visuals as the Bone Goliath as well.

    Exactly. Which is super ironic.

They claim it's something new and different when it's literally a necro ult re-skin with some cardboard-cut out wings thrown onto it.

I think it even radiates blue magic in similar spots.

If I turn my Necromancer into a Vampire I wont waste time with that ultimate, looks to be inferior to the Bone Goliath anyway.

If what another poster said was true about the 33% stat increase then the transformation itself is incredibly weak, it is a bigger insult to Vampires since Twilight, I will take 30,000 extra health and a cool looking skeleton form over that any day.

Yeah, it looks REALLY bad. The skill line seems fine, but that Blood Scion looks...
The wings shouldn't be transparent. Get them a bit closer to the body and more skeletal, but make them solid. The armor is way too bulky. Vampire Lords don't wear heavy armor and the Scion should also tone all the plating down, especially on the shoulders.
There's still time, and surely the talented artists at ZOS can develop a new optical concept?

If you check out other posts on this thread, you can see how a vampire lord form should look and already looks inside ESO. I don't understand why they didn't just use that model since if you look closely the model, aside from wings, looks almost exact.

Which makes me believe these big bulky wings were placeholders? I hope so....

It looks like they took the top half of the vampire lord, stuck Xivkyn horns on it, put on some wings, and called it a day. There isn't even a female version of it as shown by both Alcast and DawnWhisper using female characters to show off the ultimate. It really does feel like a work in progress and I hope it gets polished up before it leaves the PTS and onto the live servers.

    You're very true.

I genuinely do not understand how people think this looks nice. It doesn't. The wings look like trash and ruin the entire thing, imo. The entire form is WAY too dark to make out literally any of the body details. I reall really hope this is a placeholder.

    It has to be, right?

If the wings were real vampiric wings then that'll be another story instead of these dark transparent shadows. I mean heck you could use the dragonknight's wings and recolor them so they work with the dark look!

Anyways, I'm glad they didn't just make the player look like a Volkihar Vampire Lord but they could have at least put in more effort.

It’s a work in progress. Don’t be too critical of it until it’s on PTS tbh.

    As for the new sets.....

Considering Greymoor is scheduled for release very soon it's a bit late for that if they need to do major work on it. PTS this close to release is for final bugfixes and polishing, not major concept rework.

Anyway the first impression I got was that old Gargoyles cartoon.

The form is a blatant edit of the daedra type Xivilai. The skull looks way too wide and bulky, makes it look offbalanced and dumb. They're selling us literal vampire lord statues that look excellent. Why can't they put that money into the game instead???

Right now is a pvp skill line that can be used only from 100% pvp char, i mean if they keep the regular cost of abiliy works Always, even when you not use ultimate.

The preview build these content creators got could be months old, though.

For all we know it looks nothing like this now.

If you look at the vid, even the ability icons seem kinda wack and very obviously look like placeholders.

Also who knows when the content creators even recorded these videos, again, could be a couple months old or so.
