    I am really hoping for WW like playstyle, but Vampy. I was hoping to float around in my bat ult form, and if I wanted to prolong the form, I would have to feed "X" like the WW.

    Also - do we know anything about how one looks during the stages?

    So... um... what is the point of NB class at this point ? If I were one I would feel cheated...
    I can roll DK / Sorc / Templar / Necro / Warden both stam or mag and have easy access to invisibility... while still have my own class skills on top of that lol :open_mouth::disappointed:

    I mean... we can also use potions for that and get like 40seconds of invisibility. Also a vampire immediately turns visible when stopping to sprint and stamina recovery turns to 0 due to sprint. It sounds useful, but NB still seems way better.

    Heists will be very easy with this though... I wonder if that's what they meant when they said they wanted to "open up stealth more"...

    Well you dont have to be vamp stage 4. You can be just vamp stage 1 and be able to move while sneaking I guess. But you probably will want stage 2 at least if you are a magblade.

    Looks like the TANK META IN PVP even will GET WORSE WITH GREYMOOR.
    The VAMPIRE skill line then will allow tanks to GENERATE DPS WITH HEALTH.
    And on top of the cake will come an AREA STUN. [snip]

    Hahahahahaha.

    At least I get to keep my stage 4 skin and add some nice passives. I'm fairly excited to see Unnatural Movement in action.

    I'm iffy about the nerf to regular abilities though. But I have a feeling that won't be making it to live. That is one incredibly servere weaknesses to being a vampire, like... a colossal one. Plus it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, really.

    But at least they kept stage 4 monstrous, which I'm pleasantly surprised about. But alas, it is still feed to get into a higher stage, which is unfortunate.

    That vampire lord form looks very boring however, wow. Like, you don't even get claws or blood magic? Its just the standard weaponry of the character?

    Hah. I'm sadistically pleased.

    Ult is ***. It's basically the same as Necro Goliath ult...
    Crown Crates are a trap. Don't fall for the gamble! Balance? What Balance? Balance, smellance.

    OK really quite disapointed.

    Passives seem OK ish although turning into a bat swarm rather than invisible after sprinting for x seconds would have been a better risual effect. Unless your planning this as a bat swarm transform mount in which case rock on.

    As to active powers...

    Making powers cost health is going to be bloody obscene with titan born set.

    Evicerate : should cause bleed rather than magic damage, morphs should scale damage or crit chance based on vampire stage not health loss.

    Blood Frenzy; should be a gain wd/sd for each bleed effect on an enemy. With the existing morphs and no health cost. The inability to be healed by others is penalty enough, though only being healed by vampire abilities might be a better approach to prevent broken self heal or heal over time builds

    Drain; looks fine although Sap Will might be better than Brain Drain as a name.

    Mesmorise and morphs look fine.

    Mist looks fine.

    Blood scion.... Meh
    Love the see life-force through walls element though.

    Whats missing;

    Bat swarm transformation, as a mount speed, gap closer or sprint variant.

    Summon Bat's as a ranged bleed dot or bolt attack.

    Many people will have bought skins specifically to hide vampirism.

    I didn't pay real money for any, but I did spend free gems on 2 for that purpose.

    The inspirations for the Vampire Lord are from ancient sources, much older than the modern movies/books/games.
    There are multiple creatures in folklore. One is "Hatuibwari".

    Unnatural movement will be pure cancer in PvP. It's not enough that Stam meta and tank meta is destroying competitive play, now all the tanks with 7k weap dmg will also be able to just run away and become invisible trolls instead of just tower trolls.

    There have to be some sort of drawbacks of this.

    I was sorta hoping for an Ult akin to the WW ult, where I can prolong it if I wanted to, and I could just stalk around the world in my vamp form as long as I could feed "x"

    But overall, rather happy! Especially the feeding animations! + the run for 3 seconds and turn into a shadow = super happy

    (But please edit the Ult to look more like the statue/ in game models )

    That would cripple Vampires and make them the worst Vampire mechanics in any TES game, in no media or fiction does a Vampire function like a Werewolf where they only have power while transformed.

    Skyrim.

    Pre dawnguard and vampire lord form, all vampires had was a single spell - vampiric drain - and a handful of useless once-a-day ***.

    In a game with a huge number of spells. Plus shouts.

    The only real benefit to being a vampire was the necromage perk's effect on enchants. But do alchemy enchant loop could be repeated enough times by a non vamp to achieve the same insane levels of godliness.

    Dawnguard made vampires actually interesting and it's only for the vampire lord form. Apart from boring old vampiric drain, all of their abilities can only be used while transformed.

    The last thing PVP needs right now is more unbalance.
    It is already bad enough with the current combat balance issues & poor performance.

    Thanks to @Alcast and other community creators. We are going to see 9 hours what the Vampire Overhaul will have in store for us. So I'm making this thread for feedback. I wanted to get an early start for this thread along with the other thread that has the other stuff thats going to be showcased like the Antiquities system, Greymoor Skyrim zones and the New Trail. Those are in one thread so I didn't have to make four seperate threads for each of the Alcast Show Cases videos.

    For those that don't know it yet or have not been paying much attention. The Vampire Skill Line is getting completely revamped. A lot like the werewolf one done sometime but this one will be be more then just adding new skills and changing things up like they did with the Werewolf. As they are reworking how Feeding works, they are adding in the Vampire Lord Form(Blood Scion) Plus adding new vampire abilties. Its going to be a completely reworked Vampire Skill Line.

    I know there have been players that have really wanted to see a Vampire Lord transformation and wanted to have that experience in Eso. I did not think it was ever going to happen except maybe through a Polymorph like the Werewolf Lord. Well i was wrong and its coming with Greymoor.
    The Vampire Lord form was a unique Vampire transformation heavily inspired by Underworld first seen in The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim Dlc Dawnguard. Unlike the Dlc the Vampire Lord form in this game will be added to the Base game and not the Dlc/Chapter likely do to technical reasons and to keep it all in one skill line. The Dawnguard dlc itself seemed to be inspired by several sources of Popular Vampire Fiction including Underworld, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Blade and Van Hiesing. while the Vampire Child Babette part of Base Game Skyrim in the Dark Brotherhood Dlc seems to be inspired by the Vampire Little Girl seen in the Anna Rice Novel, Interview with the Vampire. Bethesda does seem to like to take inspirations from a lot of different fictions with their content.

    The Vampire Lord would likely not be possible if not for Underworld Evolution and the Unique Dawnguard dlc for Tes 5 and the stuff seen in the game would not have happened without the other inspirations. Without Underworld there would be no Serana or Vampire Lord Form, Without Van Hiesing there wouldn't have been the crossbows, Without Blade there would be no, Isran as he was inspired by Blade. The Vampire facial appearances wouldn't have that Buffy the Vampire Slayer Vampire facial appearance. So that is what Made Dawnguard so successful oh and without Anna Rice there would likely be no Babette in the base game Dark Brotherhood dlc for Skyrim.

    Trivial the Vampire Lord was devoleped by something called Game jam https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Game_Jam It orginally summoned Imps. Eventually the form made its way to the Dawnguard Dlc.


    The Vampire skill line will be taking from previous interpretations seen in other Elder Scrolls games along with taking inspirations from Underworld and Dracula. While the Greymoor Chapter itself seems to be taking inspirations from Dracula, Underworld, Ravenloft, Wickerman, Wicked Witch of the West and the Chronicles of Narnia.

    So it should be interesting to see what Zenimax has done with the Chapter.
    Feel free to discuss the upcoming changes to the Vampire as we wait for the reveal.

    You don't even turn into anything....you just have the thing's shadow go over you. It's literally a re-skinned necro ult....

    Yeah but maybe it is a work in progress, I hope that it will look more like the actual thing when Greymoor is live.

    Well, if that comes as it's showed into the video, it mean that my Vampire Necro will have an easier life with Sneak than my two Nightblades (one stam and one mag) who are not Vampire ? And Invisibility on top while sprinting - which is therefore no longer the class defining skill for NB too.

    It looks good, actually, but I'd have loved to see those passives on Nightblades on a first place rather than on a Generic skill line. So I feel like this revamp just does not bring anything new to the game, but just further distribute NB's supposed features around sneak and invisibility. And I use the word supposed, because I realize now with this showcase that I finally, even after playing NB for more than 4 years, still don't know what NB is supposed to be. Especilly since the actual off-cycle PTS in which LA has a kind of Leeching Strikes directly incorporated into. So, what's left ? The red light attached to the spells ? Not even, the Vampire as Red light too. Arf..

    I really hope they will rework this class within the next chapter. Hope we'll see a showcase for it too - why not.

    Seems like a razer thin line there in that going to much and you make vampire a waste of time updating. Too little cost increase and we have full zergs of invisible players.

    What they should do is also look at the fighters guild line. Make a counter. I remember when evil hunter used to highlight vampires...

    As a NB since launch, here is my take on that:

    "Zenimax, you are Fully aware that NB cloak is broken and yet instead of fixing it. You instead give a somewhat better version of it on a Vampire Passive... Really? So now What's the point of a NB? One of our Class Identity skills is now a passive for another skill line that Everyone can use. If this is the route your going down then @ZOS_GinaBruno I highly suggest you either just hand out free class change tokens for all Nightblade players or just delete the class since the class is effectively pointless to even play now with everyone having access to a better invisibility" .
