No. F***ing no. Finally mag dk has a unique build for magicka. It feels special. thats how all classes should be. every class should feel unique, with their own options. Make all classes and specs unique like you did with mag dk.

Right now I can see that we can split classes in PvE to fun, powerful and unique versus blant and mediocre. DKs are fun, different from other magicka builds, require different gear then boring PFG/MS/Zaan setup and definitely have that feeling that you play powerful fire mage. Isn't a better option to buff other classes, give them some difference, other gear choices, mechanics, etc? Asylum staff and elf bane is great almost only on magDK, lets give something interesting to others as well instead of nerfing fun and viable build that requires doing harder content for gear (asylum). Stamplars are powerful and they are also have sets that looks like created specialy for them (deadly strike which buffs almost all their abilities, including jabs). Stamcros have special corpse mechanics unique for them only. Most other options plays almost identical, do you really want only one setup to be viable for all classes?

Why does it even bother you if they are overperforming in pve!?
It can only help ya!
Imagine how great is to have mgcdk as dps in a vet dungeon group for 2 keys - you are sure you will pass it quickly and smoothly.

I mean, it is definitely going to happen! They have infinite sustain, and put out so much damage. The question is really only, is it the staff that gets nerfed/changed, or the DK passives? Time will tell.

I would rather have other classes be buffed to level of current mDK, with fun unique builds, good sustain, a lot of damage and feel of being powerful in own thematic way. But everyone knows that with ZOS, we can't have good things, so yes. They're going to nerf.

So.....one weapon makes this build over perform and you ask to nerf the class. You need to throw the other sets in there that really perform well for other classes too if you ask this.

Sure, what will you nerf? Whip? We don't use it, skills? Sure, nerf all class skills under ZOS's policy to blindly equate skills. Let's see who comes out on top 😂 Cause DK has nothing to lose from the abyssal state it is in.

One class finally has a cool niche/synergy and you guys want to take that away. Don’t nerf DK or asylum, let’s think of ways to give other setups cool niches and synergies. Nerfing things like this (plus gear and CP) is how we arrived at the current lack of class identity.

Edit- additionally, mag DK sustain is less than ideal without asylum, plus it has no execute skill or function unique to the class.

No. Just no. focus on more important things like actual performance. Nerf load screens , nerf lag , nerf the farm bots. Nerf skulls not firing. Give your head a shake.

Uh...no it’s not! MagDk is not easy to PLAY in PvP. It takes a lot of knowledge of the class, of PvP, and of OTHER classes to play MagDk WELL; but, it far from horrible.

MagDk is just not ez mode. It takes time, practice on a dummy, dueling constantly, knowledge of positioning, etc to get good at it.

Further, why in the WORLD would anybody ask for a nerf to a class in PvE...unless they are NPCS or something lmao.

As fun as it is, I expect Combustion will get the big nerf hammer and we will go back to our Magicka Templars.

I wouldn't farm a perfect staff just for this build though, by the time you get it the fun will be over.

Related but not a direct response. I'm a fan of a unique set being meta for DK and no other class. i think more sets should be introduced that are unique and meta like Elfbane.

So if magdk have great synergies with concrete sets someone is calling for nerfs for a class or gear that will be just a decon material if nerfed even slightly and generally will screw other classes also? Smh my head so hard.

On top of that we need more synergies between specific gear and classes, right now mag dk is probably the most interesting class that also have any identity left in pve.

Im just curious, why would you ask for a class nerf in PvE. It's not like you compete with your group members, you actually n profit from higher DPS.

Its good, but it's not overpreforming. There are better classes with more useful group skills especially when you have 4-6 (looking at you Necro). When you start feeling the need to bring half a dozen MagDK into your groups let me know.

Can't say anything about PVE balance, but MagDKs are the coolest looking class imo with its fire, wings and whips. Their visuals are OP for sure.
