But in real life situations you have bosses that move, have mechanics that force you to fight from a distance, or that go into phases where they cannot be damaged, etc. the stam DPS tends to drop off more than mag DPS because stam dps is so reliant on being able to get up close to hit combos with dual wield or their 2 handed weapons. Bow damage is still considered somewhat substandard compared to the melee weapons.
I'm sure its tough to measure on console, but my guess is that because mag characters get to fight from range, and are usually more survivable due to damage shields and access to better heals, that it all kind of evens out in real combat situations.
IMO Dummies aren't the end-all-be-all in this game and people need to stop learning to worship them. They don't replicate real combat situations, nor do people even gear themselves up the same way most of the time when they're trying to min/max their performance on a dummy vs. doing a trial or dungeon boss. All it is is an opportunity to perfect your rotation in way that will show you tangible progress.
