A thread for people who ARENT having performance issues (also giggity)

The game has always been quite smooth and stable for me. Nothing I consider major besides some lag during very popular events and free trials, and the occasional times when the servers are crashing and such.

Think it has been running even better now after the big fix and after they also fixed those random crashes which I only got towards the end. Haven't seen them since. My battlegrounds seem to be running smoother and with faster loading screens, same with the dungeons and trials.
Think my biggest issues has just been some glitches and small bugs which is usually fixed with a rezoneing or relog.

No, same for me. Last weekend i have played ~16 hours pvp from 2 pm until 10 pm Ravenwatch PC EU.
2-3 time my ping was near 300, but break free, weapon swap or skills firing works also fine for me. And also no disconnects.
Also to pick up my ap buff the loading screens in delve or out delve was OK.
When keep was upgrade sometime i saw very short loading screens (~1 sec).

are you only Fishing? My game performance is also great when i am fishing. You are right!!!

No I have zero performance issue, no loading screen nothing. My 200 friends and I of 3 years that still didn't hit max cp while grinding alikr enchors never had issues before. I love this game good JOB ZOS. I love it love it love it,,, Yassss!!!!! okruuuuu.... please ZOS add 2 more enchors in alkr desert, I love it so much.

No. It just reflects that the PC cosmos is not as coherent as that of consoles.

We see on steamcharts, that logged in users have an all time high. So we might conclude that the game actually works for them. The curve also is not a spike, which would indicate that they just log in to do their writs. It seems that they actually play.

So why this discrepance to the personal experience of people who encounter lag and crashes?
They might use an AMD chip instead of Intel or vice versa. AMD instead of NVidia. Broadcom network chips, or VIA or whatever.
The possible combinations of hardware are that big, that the risk that several combinations will cause issues exist.
This was for me, apart from other resons, to switch to console after almost 25 years of PC gaming.

People who share that their PC actually works, do not ignore the issues, they just show that not all are affected.
As someone with a technical background in Linux programming I actually miss more constructive threads, e.g. usefull bugreports including hardware specifications that would help to track down the issues.
Instead, the forum is flooded with frustration and people who try to stir up trouble, hindering the support even more to focus on problem solution.

Again mate, you are not doing anything that would cause any of these issues to arise...
It is things like PVE trials and PVP. Essentially a lot of people pressing a lot of different skills.
Running circles light attacking like most do at a dark anchor doesn't really count...
I am glad you are enjoying the game though.
I like most also love this game, which is why people tend to be very passionate when it can't be played to its full potential.

No, you're not the only one. If you listen to the forums trolls though then the game should be running at 100fps on windows 98 and crashes to desktop never happened ever in the game until update 25. Performance is the same as ever

Yep, he got it all right! The trolls are the problem of this game. Thats why even ZOS acknoledge the many issues reported by those players, though they haven't done much to solve them as they dont have a solution right now...

The fact that ZOS elaborated a HUGE performance improvements plan to solve many issues of the game also proves U right! Performace has always been the same! Because as a casual Elder Scrolls Online player who only plays overland content and DGs without the use of stuff like animation Canceling U are totally able to have an opinion about how game works under server stress.

I fully recognise that it's Cyrodiil and Trials, plus to a lesser extent group dungeons, that are the main areas of the game suffering from serious performance issues, and that it's largely (but not exclusively) because I don't do those things that I have never had such issues. However, if players want to limit the discussion to those primarily affected then they need to make it clear from the outset that they are talking about those things and not the game generally. When they come up with comments about how "the game" is broken and unplayable then they are widening it out to encompass all the content and that will prompt those not experiencing the issues to say so, as they are fully entitled to do. If they are then dismissed as just flower-pickers, role-players, house decorators and Crown Store whales then that will raise the temperature some more.

No issues here, I've been on the leader board several times recently due to no lag! It's nice to get a few spells off while people just stand there with their guard down.

Of course not. People's experiences with this game vary quite a lot. Some are having issues, some aren't. Some get upset about relatively minor issues, some only get upset about major ones. But when most players just post stuff up without providing much detail to ferret out what's going on, the conversations about game performance all become pretty pointless right quick. It's rare I see folks actually detailing out what issues they are experiencing and format them in a way that would help the developers troubleshoot. Though in fairness, perhaps most of those are in the Bugs section of the forums.

For my part, I wouldn't say I have *no* game performance issues but I don't have any issues that haven't been more or less present since I started playing this game a few years back. Some things have gotten better while others have gotten worse. A couple years ago during the year of Summerset, texture loading on xbox was a huge issue. I would see muddy textures all over the place, especially in Alinor, but in other parts of the game as well where I shouldn't have been seeing them. That got fixed some time last year, but then a new problem was introduced - lag spikes when zoning to a new wayshrine. Sure, they only last maybe 20 seconds at most, but the frame rate drops are pretty horrendous and didn't used to be a thing at all.

Button input delays have been a thing since launch on my platform, so that performance issue I'm just... used to it always begin there. It got worse late last year but got better with a few of the more recent patches. But it isn't fixed. There is still often a delay between when I push buttons and things happening. I still regularly get "enemy dies a couple seconds after they should have" nonsense. Still, most dungeon runs I've done have been relatively smooth with only a few times where it was... urhm.... let's go with "interesting."

Long and short of it is the sky isn't falling in my experience with xbox NA. I don't expect it'll be falling when the patch drops tomorrow. Super excited about finally being able to use Morkuldin on one of my characters, too.
