Whose your most hated NPC?

Vanus Galerion, Rigurt, sometimes Lyris. However, my most passionate hatred is reserved fot those NPC's, that comment on quests done, every time I enter the zone. I am nauseous every time I have to listen about how good was ceremony for the Dragonguard, skull of Beerla-kar, monks with butterflies in Rimmen, etc. Yea, first few times this is interesting, but after 20+ times, I want to murder said npc's.

Gameplay-wise Stuga and that creep who follows you around Riften

    Lore-wise Sotha Sil.

With all the faults Vivec and Almalexia have, they deeply care about their people and use their power to do what they think is right. Seth used his power to build an ant farm, lock in his followers as well as few accidental passerbys and then left them alone only to show up every once in a while to spit out some hollow platitudes. Yes he may do the right thing on levels we mortals can't comprehend, but he's still a ***.

Its a toss up for me with Clarisse Laurent and Narsis Dren. They play at being adventurers and tomb hunters and then take all the credit for everything you do...

And yeah I get the stigma that the hero is never thanked nor properly rewarded for what we do but ffs those two are the worst of them all.

But also, how y'all gonna come out here and say you "Hate" Rigurt the adorable simpleton or Sai's precious Snow Lily Lyris!?! Y'all Need Jesus!

I can't really think of anyone I've hated so much I've held onto it... Stuga is annoying of course as everyone has said but the most recent disgusting encounter that I can recall was a quest in Shadowfen where a WhispMother pretended to be some Altmer guy's dead wife. That's ****** up, yo!

Also, not all Dunmer (my 2nd fave race) but definitely the Slavers, I hate those [snip]. Every time a quest opportunity presents itself, I kill them even on my naughty characters on which i do some ****** up **** [snip]!

There are a few irritating NPCs in this game, but for me, it's Ayrenn. Some can be annoying while being funny somehow, but she has literally no positive traits.

She is the only reason Razum-dar is my second most hated NPC.

Florentia Candidius and Zhiraz. I'm tired of hearing about those dragons. I know! And they're at every wayshrine in every major city and they keep going until you complete ALL of the Northern Elsweyr questline. At least you can shut up Stuga and the rest by just accepting the quest.

I wish those two could be assassinated, I really do.

Abnur Tharn gets on my nerves but I will have to say that I love it when he says "I see what you did!" whenever I target him by "accident" and cast. I appreciate little touches like that.

Ooooh boy this lad gets on my nerves as well. I used to hate him and really still do wish the main questline let you sacrifice him. Wouldn't care if he came back, the emotional satisfaction of sacrificing him would go a long way. The Elsweyr quest lines made him a bit more tolerable to me because he now feels human (but still hugely annoying) instead of a walking stereotype with no personality outside of 'complete asswipe'.

Jorund - most annoying "king" ever. Why I'm forced to help this moron playing as EP? Just split all the land between Ayrenn and Emeric...
Prophet - didn't liked him from the beginning, couldn't force myself to trust him. Expected some plot twist at the end with evil Prophet, but he was certainly written as the good guy - no idea why.
As for The Stalkers I mostly hate that guy: "Hold! We observed your travels through Grathwood", who's chasing me with his teleports, when I'm travelling for Elswheyr dailies.

Sorry, Vivec is dangling an asteroid over Vivec City. If he loved his people (rather than demanding their admiration) he'd ditch the thing in the ocean. I'm glad I killed (will kill) him.

Almalexia also demands adoration, and does very little to actually help her people - even for a false god. I'm glad I killed (will kill) her.

I agree with you about Sotha Sil. People are starving, and he hasn't even considered that they aren't mechanical and can't live off oil. I would have killed him if I had the chance.

I found the king in Wrothgar annoying - obvious plot twist was obvious, but you still had to carry on as if you hadn't twigged.
But at least I killed him... and his mother :)

These are the only two that I legit hate. Because they're EVERYWHERE.

Like dude. You've been whining about this for a full year now. Maybe if you LEFT the wayshrine areas and actually went to check on your family, YOU'D KNOW WHETHER THEY'RE SAFE. And when you get the Elsweyr, maybe just stay... there. For the love of all things holy, STAY THERE.

ZOS, are you ever going to remove these two NPCs from like every wayshrine ever? We get that Elsweyr is a thing at this point.

That khajit who is part of the main storyline for AD. The Queen's Eye guy. Arumdar? Azzumdar?

It's mainly because that drippy Eastern European accent and the constant "this one...this one...this one..." There is some great writing and voice acting in this game. But THAT ONE is not part of it.

I mean yeah, Vivec is doing that. But at least people can leave Vivec city if they want to. I don't see anywhere that Vivec has them locked into his city; these people have freedom that Sotha Sil's people do not.

Not that Vivec is a shining example of sainthood EITHER, just saying. But he seems...marginally...better than Sotha Sil is.

Although I agree with you there that if we had the option to kill of the ENTIRE Tribunal in ESO, I would GLADLY take it (where do I sign up?).

Heck, even getting to kill of the entire Tribunal in Morrowind would be nice; so sad we can't get Sotha Sil, but I guess two out of three is better than nothing, am I right?

Carindon. I hate being on the wrong side in Selene's Web and was very glad
that you get to help free Selene and get Carindon arrested in Lair of Maarselok. That was incredibly satisfying.
Carindon is way too smug at the end of Selene's Web and throughout that entire dungeon.

Also Stuga and Sun-In-Shadows. They both suck too.

When I posted the other day I had completely forgotten about the NPC who makes me literally snarl at him out loud every time I'm subjected to him. I don't hang out in Daggerfall much anymore as most of my toons are over level 50 and so I'm either done with Glenumbra with most of them or started in other zones, but I still have a few lowbies that haven't done the Glenumbra quest lines. So the other day it was just more convenient to go to Daggerfall for something, and as I ran through town I heard it, the one sound above all others in this game that makes me cringe, hiss, and madly slash my weapons around trying to threaten a stupid collection of pixels..

    *WHINE!*

[snip] I hate that damn dog. Giblets. HATE it. That sound is fingernails on a blackboard for me and you have to either do a whole quest chain to get rid of it or have unfinished quests hanging around in your journal, which I loathe. Giblets makes me wish we could Blade of Woe animals.

Sun-In-Shadow. For the same reasons others have lister prior to this post. But also especially for the fact she tries to throw you and Eoki under the bus, at the end of the quest line, just to save her own scaly hide.
