Honestly if Warden's going to become the "bleed" class you might as well have Shalks do bleed damage as well and have the damage apply over 3 seconds. I abso-fing-lutely HATE the bleed idea though, just as much as you hate Stamden getting frost, @ESO_Nightingale.

Sorry you hate bleeds. Not sure why, but it's unique to stamden, thematically fits and doesn't step on any toes.

We've been through this. For bear and birds, sure. Thematically, it can work. It makes zero sense for the bugs.

i don't agree. if a bug starts eating your flesh, you're going to bleed. those sorts of insects do exist. that makes logical sense to me.

To be fair, many / most biting insects / creepy crawlies use anticoagulant in order to let you bleed freely. Mosquitoes do. Imagine a swarm of them eating you alive. That's some nasty bleed damage right there. Either could work, so perhaps they should use what works best practically for the class.

I probably missed it but what is the definition of "recently" in ESO terms?

I am working under the assumption that the bonus crit damage applies when the target is chilled. Not before or after, but during. So far, my DPS has gone up a bit, but that seems more to do with me changing my build than the actual passive change. In trials i'm in, on bosses, the chilled uptime seems to average between 10-20% even with several mag DKs running asylum staves as well as a Magcro using frost damage.

So kind of like I predicted, without a Magden, it's pretty garbo.

The passive. It just doesn't have a high enough proc rate outside of Magden to be meaningful.

I'm sure I've said this before but we still need more frost specific changes, which is what the suggestion is trying to encourage and what we are openly saying to ZOS. we will know more in the next few patches. Until then it's a nice little flavour buff for magden. but we need more frost damage skills for it to really help anyone. Having a frost staff damage related bonus on ancient knowledge would also assist it in this regard. I knew that this being implemented by itself wasn't going to have too big of an impact.

Unless you give Stamdens frost, which you seem vehemently against, this buff is effectively meaningless to us. Barring a complete and total meta shift where Magden is top Magicka DPS, it's an irrelevant buff that isn't even remotely reliable enough from any other source to be impactful.

Which is what I said from the start. It's a Magden buff. Point blank period. That's fine, but it doesn't actually benefit Stamdens in any way.

I can personally keep up 40-50% chilled uptime just by using Winter's Revenge in my rotation, but the 10% crit damage sadly isn't enough to compensate for the net DPS loss.

well it does benefit Stamdens even when you don't build for it. You definitely don't notice it as of right now, but how much it will benefit stamina warden is determined by it's group and by the performance of frost as a whole. Which at the moment is a very small amount.

so yes it is close to useless for stamina warden right now. but it still does affect them.
