I hope you understand that Nehalem cpus that came out over 10 years ago also have i7 variants just like the latest Coffee Lake cpus. Therefore i7 doesn’t mean anything in terms of performance. The other thing is that if I understand correctly, this current patch is not supposed to have a massive impact on FPS, rather on loading times and further patch sizes.
PC EU - Ebonheart Pact Resdayn Indoril, Dunmer Magicka Nightblade - Main
Responsiveness has decreased significantly. Lots of random delays between button press and effect, very clunky feel. Have to block twice to dismount (might have something to do with block changes, not sure).
Will have to keep an eye on this.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!? Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.
As aPvE player my experience so far is good with this patch -there are minor issues like loosing the ability to loot a corpse after a kill (E prompt doesn't show even the corpse is highlighted) and getting used to how animation cancelling and blocking is handled, I see an improvement for my playstyle. In trade hubs and other crowded places in feels a lot better to me- - especially NPCs are loading more quickly, but there are hiccups, where the screen freezes for a short moment sometimes.
Well, parallel programming can be tricky and there might be some timing issues or even deadlocks (like not being able to loot a corpse is causing as well that I cannot sheath my weapon and other issues -looks like a deadlock situation to me). ZOS will hammer them out over time - this was to be expected - just give them some time to gather intel and patch these flaws.
