Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

I think zos went overboard with the southern elsweyr dragons.

Yes, and it would be handy if there was some NPC somewhere (maybe in the Fighters or Mages Guilds) who could explain to new players how they might accomplish this.

To gitgud you need to know what needs to be done and then practice it. I would imagine that most of the players being totalled by dragons have no idea about resistance and little or no idea about gear.

Imagine if there would be a magical place where you could find all that out in a mather of minutes :open_mouth:
    that would be cool right?

I do like the way they made Dragons in Eso to be as powerful as they are op and deadly. The way they did Dragons shows powerful the Future Last Dragonborn really is.
Takes multiple Vestiges to do what the Last Dragonborn is able to do just by him/herself. Which goes to show how different the Vestige is to the Last Dragonborn. Only a Dragonborn can take one of these beings on in a one on one fight.

Zenimax did a fantastic job at portraying the Dragons and their might in this game. I don't know if they need to nerf them. Did manage to help kill that one corrupting Dragon in the one dlc dungeon during the undaunted event. One day fight I will take a character and do one of the world dragon domains in Dragonhold or Northern Elswyer areas.

As powerful as the Vestige thinks he/she is he/she can't compare to a Dragonborn or the Last Dragonborn in terms of power. So I do have to give them Kudos for that at least.

Clearly they need to be nerfed, the dragons are a fan service and they are killing the people who joined to play Skyrim online.

In all seriousness, I like the dragons the way they are, okay ‘variety and blah blah’ but besides the elemental they puke, they feel like actual dragons, I actually want to go and kill a few.
I swear, in Skyrim I got so bored with the dragons I cheated for a few hundred jarrin root poisons and shot the jumped up Argonians out of the sky.

I don’t think the Last Dragon Born was that powerful, I think the dragons in the future were weakened somehow. Skyrim dragons are little scaled skeevers (without mods) and thanks to ZoS we get to face what they should have been.
Clearly Sai neutered them all and by the time the ‘big strong Last Dragon Born’ comes along they’re all simpering hatchlings.

Everything is much simpler. The whole MMO concept of world bosses is just a tribute to the MMO crowd and breaks Elder Scrolls lore in all and every cases. Divide the power of the individuals the are created to provide group content by ten at the very least and you will get the real picture.
The Three Storm Sharks, episode 8 released on january the 8th.
One mer to rule them all,
    one mer to find them,
One mer to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them.

So, some actually challenging world bosses finnally introduced in the game, and people ask to nerf them.
Something like this has been desperately needed for years in ESO. An MMORPG with no overland content designed for large groups of strong characters is a bad game.

One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

The really amusing thing is that I have been reading threads about making World Bosses/overland harder/more difficult for nearly two years now....

Dragons are fine. And I am so tired of nerf threads.

I think the dragons are ok as they are. I find them frustrating at times but that has more to do with the game's well documented performance issues than the fights themselves. I'm hopeful the upcoming update will help in this regard. The other thing I find frustrating, but is normal in this type of situation, is tanks all fighting for aggro and running the dragon all over the arena. While I don't expect it, it would be nice if there was a little coordination so the dragons can be positioned to the player's advantage. An example is the Ice Dragon ice storm wall. A well placed dragon will result in the ice storm being outside buildings/objects that can be used as a backstop for the knock back. It would save a lot of lives, mine included, by not having players knocked into and stunned in the storm. As I said though I don't expect that type of coordination or thought in the typical zerg that attends these events.

Dragons 2.0 are way better and more challenging than the initial ones. But not OP as you are suggesting.

You seem to need a shield of some kind (get it with gear/abilities or cp allocation) or a templar/healer friend with purge slotted in order to mitigate damage dealt by dragon's AoEs.

I mainly play as a dd with my main and that's the more challenging role since it's my most "fragile" setup. But I also enjoy a lot tanking dragons: my favorites to tank, because the're the more challenging imo, are the lightning ones!

Fyi, what mostly kills me when dragon fighting is ridiculous lag because I die first and then the cause of my char's death appears: an aoe I couldn't see or an attack that kills me before any visual indication appears before hitting the char.

so instead of fixing the dragon lag which arrived with the original dragons, zo$ introduces MORE lagging dragons.

    marvelous.

Well you could always Gitgud and/or make a char that has decent resistance and gear.

The majority of players already don’t read or listen to NPC dialogue, don’t read quest dialogue or tips, don’t pay attention to the game tutorial, and don’t bother to look at the in game of official website Help topics. Your suggestion wouldn’t make any difference.

The people who want to learn will ask the crucial question “how can I get better/more powerful?” and they will get answers. The rest will cry for nerfs, to make life easier and reduce the amount of effort and thought they need to put into things. And they will get ignored or mocked.
