I don’t compliment female characters anymore because I don’t want to be mistaken for those types. I always compliment characters and outfits I find well done and intriguing no matter what gender the character is. But there's of course quite a difference in complimenting someone's character and the player itself. Less "Hubba hubba, you look nice" and more "That's a nice looking character you've made. ✭✭✭✭✭When I saw this title it reminded me of when a guild mate and myself were waiting for a GF queue to pop in a different game. They player that claimed to be new was asking me questions about the game. I told my guild mate I wonder if they are flirting with me in an odd way.
Just as the queue popped the person asked me if I was a chick in real life. So yes flirting but who in their right mind is going to use the term chick. LOL1 -

I've definitely gotten some bizarre whispers when I play as my healer. No clue what it is about her that people like, but she's apparently got something going on lmao. Also thanks zos for the mistletoe emote, I totally wanted dudes to follow me around doing that. Makes me glad I prefer playing as male characters, so people usually assume I'm a guy.1 -

Complimenting characters is fine as long as you aren't doing it by spamming "ur sexy bb" whispers, which is sadly a genuine thing that has happened to me. He got to experience death many times during that dungeon XD3 -

If you are suggesting flirting this way with people in game, which it doesn't seem to be the case, but if you were I would say that is a dangerous thin line to walk. Many people will not take kindly to that type of behavior specially if they are involved in a relationship. Not something I would engage in, in game.
In regards to a forum post, if people kept it fun and not sexually suggestive then have fun with it. But already I see some of the comments as being far too sexually suggestive, which unfortunately encourages other types of bad behavior.

Person 2: Neither, why do you ask?
Person 1: I was just wondering who stole the stars from the sky and sprinkled them in your eyes.
To me that sounds innocent enough to not be offensive to anyone, of course I might be very wrong some might take offense. In my own opinion I think that type of pick up line is harmless, cute and maybe even a bit funny although it doesn't relate to the game itself, it's the spirit of the pick up line I am speaking of.
Some of the comments left already seem to be solely focused on physical body parts, overly sexually suggestive in a way that just seems creepy and pervy. Those I don't think are appropriate at all.
I understand your point, but one of the reasons this game got it's "M" rating is for it's sexual innuendo(Suggestive Themes). From in-game "She would be the sheath to every Knight's blade". Worse still "She ripped the throats of the women, ate the eyes of childred, and *** the men as cruelly as Bal had ravished her". Again, this can all be found IN game.
It's totally different when you are engaging in game content, as opposed to someone hitting on you with a sexually suggestive pick up line. M means Mature, I seriously doubt mature means being creepy and pervy. People cannot control themselves even in this threaad, some can but some just cannot help the opportunity to say something crude. In my book that's not mature at all. A few are actually funny and rather innocent, but some of them are way outside mature.

I’ve been playing for 3 years and never had any problems despite having attractive female characters. Also I usually play with chat off so could be why 🤷♀️ But enjoy reading some of these! I saved him fighting some overland boss, we chatted a bit, he knew more about some of the game system than I.
Then starting to very obviously pick me up. I was an cute elf lady and was doing a bit of soft RP, like an Khajiit using this one.
He was obviously an young teen so I broke it for him that I was an male and close to 40 year old.
Also that half the ladies in the game was males. He was shocked
Grinding just make you go in circles.
