I didn't mean for this to become a balance thread but since you mentioned it,

It's not stamina overall, more like a stamina necromancer thing. They're at a buggy place right now on live and kinks are getting worked out, as a result we get a free cast of detonating siphon. That's like a free 4.5kdps since there's no global cool down. The top Orc Necro parse on ESO logs is cranking out 63 skills every 60 seconds.

I used this PTS as an opportunity to try out the meta, which involves getting a brawny orc and summoning dead stuff with all meta gear, minus the maelstrom bow in this particular case, to see what I've been missing on live. It turns out I'm missing out big time.

Here are my highest parses on other stamina classes, on Bosmer:

Stam Sorc parse: 83k

Each of these involves two dual wield bars. There are a few extra variables between parses, like deadly strikes+ normal Relequen or New Moon + Relequen on the stamblade, but if I stick deadly strikes +Relequen on the orc Necro it's hitting 91k. The same skill level produces a 17k difference compared to my poor Nightblade, so there's no need to nerf all stamina classes on Nirn just because you spotted something a bit cheesy.

Reli carries stam. Without it Stam would be too close to mag. Many Stam classes would be under mag. Stam classes barely have enough skills for a rotation currently.

I’m not calling for any nerfs, to stamina dps or sets. I just don’t want to have to keep using Mothers Sorrow, a set released with the original game!!!!! Something new would be nice rather than the garbage we keep getting.

Just wanted to add another parse to compare against Aegis:

I had 90,500 with Relequen + 5.3.2 Aegis Caller

Here's 90,900 with Relequen + Deadly Strikes

....Replacing all weapons with deadly strikes weapons

It's Pretty well within the margin for error, so it might be close to the strength of Deadly Strikes for single target damage


I can imagine everyone would like to squeeze the most out of this set while fighting AOE mobs that are scattered loosely in a cluster. Currently a lot of stamina players would use brawler or whirling blades to take the mobs down fast. I tested a setup with whirling blades, standing near the edge of a cluster of target dummies:



I faced the target in the middle, #3, although I was standing beside target #1. Then I cast whirling blades 40 times to see what happens and where it spawns. The Whirling Blades could only reach the four labeled targets out of the bunch, but it spawned mostly on target #2

#1 - 12 spawns, 30%
#2 - 19 spawns, 47%
#3 - 3 spawns, 8%
#4 - 6 spawns, 15%

My crit percentage was 45%. I was closer to #2 than #4, but standing right beside #1. I imagine you'd need to focus with single target damage on the mob in the middle until the Aegis spawns. It still hits pretty hard for a short fight, just 25% less per tick than before. Factoring in the extra down-time to a long and drawn out fight it comes to 40% less damage for me.

and those dummy parses which are not even remotely accurate, causes things to be nerfed.using relequen and this new set on a dummy is worthless. its not realistic and it just overstates the value of the sets in most normal conditions
