I know this has been said a lot but... Just use detect pots and/or an AOE dude. The kind of nightblade you are describing falls so easily once they can't rely on cloak.

You say "Just use detect pots" like I can just craft those infinitely. I need to use corn flower to craft food as well. Check it: I have limited bar space and limited resources to throw AOE's around, hoping a night blade will be stupid enough to stand there. I've been criticized for picking the Ritual of Retribution morph over Extended Ritual, but that's the AOE that I can afford to slot because it has enough functions to make it worth slotting with limited bar space. I do as much as I can to be prepared for EVERY opponent. But there's only so much I can do to fight someone who cloaks, waits for me to walk away, and then tries to gank me. Yes, it's annoying as hell.

You shouldn't have any problem against a nightblade, especially as a templar...
Idk, maybe it's because i've mained a magblade for years and i know how they think, but i find these kind of nbs easy to kill.
Inb4: "oh you are a NB, that explains everything". Not anymore, i main a magicka warden now.

Yup. People who still think NBs are okay should do themselves a favour and play one for a while.
You’ll see how easy they are to counter and how weak cloak really is.

Indeed. On PC i'm max CP but on PS4 not yet (around 700 CP) and i've managed to kill Grand overlord nightblades with my 700CP magden.
Actually i think i've seen only 2 so far, most of the other Grand Overlords i see play other classes.

I honestly think most players should play a NB if you want to get good. Next time you die check your death recap and you’ll see how little people light attack and do pvp basics.
I play my magplar pretty closely to how I played my magblade when dark cloak was viable. Mist is like a mag dodge roll and way better then cloak for escape, and burst is way higher on a magplar then a magblade. Even on a magwarden if you still have your caluurion with swift traits gear kicking around it works better then on a magblade.
All cloak lets you do is choose opponents while going around in stealth. Cloak only really works for escape if you have a lot of separation.

Nightblades are NOT weak, stop spreading that nonsense and learn to play your class,
i know it has gotten over nerfed and your class is not the only class that has gotten over nerfed, but it has not stopped NB from being one of the best classes in the Game.
