It's been months alrdy Zos.
There is no reason to give us an ability we dont like and "keep monitoring" again.

The SF stagger effect does not benefit stamDK in PvE. Just like Molten Weapons it benefits the group but NOT the class.
In PvP SF is unreliable and without purpose.

Give us a true stamina class ability:
Melee with proper dmg and either a single target CC or an AoE effect that synergizes with our toolkits.

You created a new animation for SF that should be a MAGE ability. Use it somewhere else.
Give us something nice after you butchered our nice looking ability, Reflective Plate.

    Don't understand the stagger statement. It's meant to secure a place in a raid because they want every spec to have something unique to bring to the table. So yeah, it very much does benefit the class. I've heard people say tanks just slot it, but I don't know if I entirely believe that. Wouldn't you rather a dps use it who can fit it in their rotation. You're telling me a tank is going to cast this damn ability 3 times every 6 seconds or so? They just don't have the time to get reliable uptime. At least on paper to me. I haven't done any competitive end game pve in awhile.

    That being said, I agree with everything else. Just make it melee FFS. The stomp + 3 attacks is an interesting idea, but they shoud be instant melee. The ranged aspect just ruins it. Remove the cast time. Add stagger to everything hit by the aoe. Call it a day. It would be much more fun to use.

    The twist and hit animation of the NPC you show would be perfect for the additional 3 hits after the aoe stomp.

    Engulfing flames also secures a raid spot for magDK while making the class much stronger because the debuff actually synergizes with the class. Stop pretending like raids are all that matters.

    Oh and tank use it well enough that people run tank DKs with other stam DPS instead of a stamDk DPS.

    It's like they made an animation for Obsidian Shard morph rather than Stone Giant. Which is fine sure but the overwhelming majority wanted Stone Giant to be fixed. It's like they're afraid it will mess with Obsidian Shard but they can fix it like this

    Stonefist/Stone Giant: 7m max range, single target or cone, stagger effect, uses a new physical melee animation

    Obsidian Shard: 28m range, no stagger effect, uses current PTS animation.


    Sure someone more knowledgeable can play with numbers or whatever but you get my point here.

    This animation would be a great replacement for the current Stone Giant. It could be kept as the "earth shaking animation" granting the 3 orbs for obsidian shards and retained as a spammable granting stagger.

    I don't understand why they can't just make it a punch? Rock floats up from the ground to cover your fist, then you hit an enemy (melee) with it... Stone. Fist. Everything they've done with it has made the name make less and less sense, not to mention giving a weird hybrid aoe/st ranged spammable to a pure melee build.

    Maybe having the stagger bonus effect scale with stamina and weapon damage could solve the issue and keep it a pure damage dealer ability.

    I'll repeat my idea i've said somewhere else, but I think a debuff that last 14 seconds & for every hit you deal X damages, for every dot applied to the target by the caster, you get one stack of this debuff. A bit like it's working right now, but instead of having a spammable (which zero dk main asked for) you could get a skill that works around your dots and benefits the class? Make it a bit stronger that it is right now on live because necros are still MUCH stronger and the dps added is not strong enough for optimized teams to have at least 1 sdk. 6stacks of those would be perfect with Endless hail/PI/Claw/traps/noxious breath/rending slashes. make rending slashes useful maybe? right now 1 rapid strike deals same damage as rending slashes & is really annoying to use on DK because 10seconds dots, so it's much more convenient to ignore it. less stacks would make it easily usable by tanks.
    The team still get the debuff aswell, share the same stack than the DK has applied.
