https://youtu.be/Ks8_KGHqmO4Off balance did not land on boss in the same before, a lot of our skills was fixed, my skill that did not work 9 month - now work.
A lot of sets were fixed like elf bain for us, and i do not see big problem in dk now.
My main 2 characters both are dk.
I get stone fist and good stamina set on Nord and elf bain on DarkElf + my skills work now.
I do not see big problem with offbalance changes now.
It is really strange if thorns reflect damage from 20 meter radius.
And damage it returned is not to big.
To return range damage you have wings, yes it was nerfed a long time before, and i do not like that change, but what is the point now, to cry about it now. You 'd better say it when they change our wings.
Lash was never good in pve.
May be in pvp - yes, but i do not test in on pts, do not know how off balance work on players in new patch.
Even if you use it in pvp, it only land after root/stan - so if you use forselize you can not use it too often now. Becouse of this changes. I do not think that it is big of balance problem and not only DK use offbalance, by the way.
Don't worry, it's fine because...elf bane, right? Right!?
...
This patch if left alone will make me delete all my mag chars...

You will always lead out of stealth attacking the enemy. And do not drag here dk. MagDKs actually use Flame Lash! Some use in pvp molten whip, but that doesn’t mean that now you have to kill an entire skill!
Nah -- It's not a reason at all. I'm not excusing it, but every mDK worth their salt that I've fought has had the glowing eyes molten whip buff up and unloaded it in the right time. Ideally, maybe they'll tweak this new Off Balance a bit and reduce the cooldown or change Flame Lash a little bit.
But no, regardless of how an NB starts the offensive, the 'thorn' DK armor skills keeps NBs from going defensive for a few seconds at a time at any range. For example: resto lighting to proc the glyph cancel into cloak, defensive cloaking in response to being focused, etc. It's not as if that's anything game breaking, but it sure will be nice for the DK to have to use a little brains to get that cloak-cancelling feature.
You know what's worst than a defensive skill with thorns? Detection pots. That's a no brainer and is thousand times worst than spiked armor, because you spend 0 resources just pressing one key to completely shut down a build.
Yep. And I've said so in the past. The 'thorns' fix was a QoL change that I'm happy to see regardless. It even matches the range DK does damage in, not that there's much damage being done by the ability anyway.Miloscpolski wrote: »Miloscpolski wrote: »This bothered the crap out of me on my Nightblade(s). Because of you nerf wings, because of you nerf spikes, maybe stop complaining?
Seems kind of hypocritical when you're the one that started the complaint thread about 2 nearly irrelevant corners of the game. DKs are really running out of things to cherry pick. Anyhow, I have a long and exhaustive post history detailing why wings needed to be taken down a few pegs.
For the record, I agree with the Off Balance change being poorly thought out. I think we'll see revisions in further PTS cycles, because this is only the first of at least three.
its not hypocritical, its fact that wing got nerf because of nb.
No, it's a fact that wings got nerfed because there was no other skill that could singlehandedly shut down entire playstyles as effectively as old wings, and no other skill that could punish as hard for a single mistake as the old wings's reflect. It was broken.ZarkingFrued wrote: »Miloscpolski wrote: »This bothered the crap out of me on my Nightblade(s). Your thread about wings is irrelevant
See the above on why you're wrong. Anyway, I'm not the one who brought up old wings to begin with.
its absolutely fact, a lot of nbs complained about wings.
It needed it.

I don't really care either way about the Spikes. I will enjoy the Templar bubble not snaring me halfway across the map.
The dot shouldn’t of been reflectable but a skilled magblade could kill a Magdk with wings. It took a lot more skill but it was a l2p issue.

That's like saying you can cut down a tree with a pair of scissors. You might eventually be able to do it given large, unfathomably sharp scissors and a small or dead tree, but it's not likely to happen in any normal circumstance. Then again, it's easier to just write 'L2P' than it is to argue a point that you know is weak.
